His touch wasn’t great in the first half, he looked nervous!

46 mins CLOSE! Newcastle 0-0 1860 Munich
Callum Wilson shoots over!
Brilliant run by Elliot Anderson, who tees up the striker, but he can't keep his effort down.

10 changes so he is off the pitch now No good. Not up to scratch Send him back to the gas, Newcastle to pay us to play him, also might as well loan us another centre back and winger while they are at it. UTG

So the list after loning Anderson grows longer Luton, Huddersfield, WBA, Millwall, Hearts, Sheff Weds and BRFC And the winner is BRFC? I can feel it in my water after drinking a lot of it in this heat.

At that point, you might seriously want to recall him- as the impact of Qatar WC is hard to cost.

Greater chance of success and far bigger crowds to get him ready for St James Park

Plus they already knows he has benefited from coaching and fitness training at the gas and gets on with the staff and team mates. No guarantee of that anywhere else. Have i convinced myself yet?

If Howe just wants EA to get game time in L1 Rovers seems the obvious move but I sense it's be a Championship side anyway.

Odd world football, there are players of his age being talked about for big money moves yet Newcastle are thinking about what to do with him. You would think he should say, especially as he does not add to squad numbers.

Would be brilliant to have our man back and I think we have as good a chance as any team at least to Christmas.
If it’s not to be I won’t be at all surprised to see another Geordie youngster sent to us on loan for the season.

If he’s going to League One there will no doubt be contract stipulations about getting a certain amount of game time. Rovers seems the sensible move because we’re Rovers fans. Looking in from the outside the sensible League One move is Sheff Weds.

EH is a man of his word. He said very early on that he wants to have a look at him in per-season and that’s what he’s doing. Whatever happens August onwards remains to be seen. We have to be patient although I think it unlikely he'll come back here for all the reasons that have been said.

EH knows he'll get both decent game time and good coaching/career development at Rovers, unless he's got past experience of SW he won't have a clue what they can offer apart from higher home attendances.
