Hopefully we’ll get the away terrace against teams that will only bring a few hundred that can be seated in the south stand. Makes sense rather than have a sold out home attendance with a half full away end.

I find it hard to believe that the capacity for next season will be only 10 more than the Scunthorpe attendance 9,790 to 9,800. The removal of the family stand and reinstatement of terracing should realise a net increase of 300/400. In addition TG announced plans to undertake work in the North Terrace to reinstate children being allowed to stand at the front. That should allow an extra 150. We have already lost over 600 places in the North Terrace. The capacity used to be 3,710. Are we being stitched up by the SAG?

I think we’re getting stitched up by having a stadium that is not fit fit purpose. Amazing we’ve got away with it this long TBH. Better hope for some positive news in the coming months about new facilities.

Think we’ll struggle to beat that unless we sell out virtually every week. We could go up to about 11k then which makes a big difference for balancing out all the 6ks on a wet Tuesday nights in November-February. Fair point. Although we've got a lot more local-ish games this season, Forest Green, Cheltenham, Exeter, Plymouth, Oxford etc. Plus the big boys of Derby and Sheffield Wednesday to go with Ipswich, Portsmouth, Charlton and Bolton who are all well supported for this level. I guess it all depends on how we perform as well, if we're in and around the top 10 or Play Offs then no reason why we shouldn't be pretty much selling out every game anyway regardless whether its Derby, Sheffield Wednesday or Accrington and Morecombe. If we start out well we could have a hell of a season. The sort of season we’ve not seen in a long long time.

I think we will need to pin down away teams early as to what their requirements will be. I know we have to give 10% of capacity for away fans but that can be reduced by agreement.

I'm sure that's what we'll do. The likes of Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich etc give them the whole of the South Stand, or at least 3/4 of it. The likes of Accrington, Morecombe, Fleetwood, Burton etc just give them 1 block of seating like we did Scunthorpe. The Mems capacity this season won't be much bigger than Twertons was. We left there 26 years ago. Crazy.

Agreed. I think this is the first season where our stadium capacity is going to hold us back. 😢 Don’t think it will hold us back… a pack to the rafters mem full of supporters who are genuinely desperate to be there will create atmospheres that will be like having a 12th man. Exactly what Nottingham Forest did this season. Literally can not wait to get this season started

With all the positivity on home tickets and the potential of numerous sell outs, I suspect our away followings will increase accordingly as fans try to get their fix.
We managed to average over 1000 per match away last season, despite several of our games against perceived big clubs this season being midweek, I reckon that will increase.
Despite of the cost of living crisis, football seem to be bucking the trend, as many are reporting record season ticket sales, though that may be because fans are spending now in case come spring funds are a little low!

Club shop have just tweeted capacity is 9800 this season. Ridiculously low. I remember back in the day when our sell outs used to be around 12,000. The 06/07 season, FA cup run a couple of years later etc. I've obviously missed some of the posts on here as to why it has been reduced but how is it now more than 2,000 lower than is used to be years ago?

Got my ticket yesterday. Would have been typical that for the first game I've been able to go to in nearly three years and I forget to get a ticket!

Why has the capacity not increased after the removal of the family stand? Bizarre

Where have the 3000 spaces gone? 12,010 against WBA in FA cup wasn’t it? We need a new ground.
