Very difficult to predict this one as I'm not sure what sort of side either team will put out.
We had a really tough match there last season when we rode our luck in the latter stages to hang for a 2-1 win. Our starting 11 that day, featuring Taylor, Coutts and E. Anderson will be stronger than any side we put out tonight.
If both sides go full strength I'd like to think we have just enough to get the win but if we make 3+ changes it could go either way.

Can't see much of a threat. Crawley have played 2 lost 2 - 1-0 each time
Gonna be a relatively strong team put out with a few changes.
Can't see anything other than an away win.

If we turn up with a weakened side and think it will be a stroll in the park we will lose.
We have to play our usual high press quicker tempo game. If we do that we should hopefully win the match.

3rd game into a new season I would treat it as a 1st team friendly game. Maybe a couple of fringe players at the most starting but mainly just pick our best team as they still need match fitness, build on-pitch relationships etc.
Injuries can happen at any time, I wouldnt 'rest' any players to avoid risking that.

I reckon it will be a strong side, albeit Jaakkola, Saunders and Kilgour will start to get a bit of match fitness.
One of the best things about this game is that it counts towards Coutts suspension, meaning he’ll be back for Oxford.

Not sure if a non-uk broadcaster has the rights and, if so, not sure how I’d find it or go about streaming it anyway. Will settle for audio and my imagination (the old fashioned way!). |
