The penalty decision was the worst since Vic Callow refused a penalty for the rugby tackle on Carl Saunders at Wembley in 1990. Wasn't just that game. Callow allowed all Rovers fans to travel to Notts County for a game that was never going to pass a pitch inspection. Didn't have a local ref do an earlier check then looked at the pitch from the tunnel not long before kick off before calling it off. Rumour at the time was he had a general issue with Bristol. A few Ted friends of mine took the p155 until they had him for a game and came back with. 'See what you mean, what a ****' Vic Callow!!! There's a name to conjure with. Once saw him peel away after not giving Rovers some obvious decision with a massive smirk on his face.

Ignore him. He's as thick as he is tedious. Not as thick as people who believe our owner will deliver a stadium thankfully. Out of interest how do you know that he won't ? At the end of the day it's just your opinion, you may be correct but until the club come out and say the fruit market is dead that's all it is an opinion. Exactly the same as anyone who states there will be a stadium, until its built that's their opinion. By the way when does work start on the housing estate being built at the quarters ?

With the boys and the misses( only for the shopping and something to eat around the boats at Port Solent by the way 🙃🙃 jokes to one side she really enjoyed the game tbf. A true gashead ).
But being at the front ground level , you can definitely see what JB is trying to coach and drill on the training ground.
Play out from the back, build and then explode in the final third.
He is trying to get across a Premier League style of football with League 1 players. That will take time.
Rather continue with that than the longball tactics from a PE teacher😂😂😂🤣🤣 that can and will only get you so far.
The two teams yesterday were playing completely different styles. When it clicks with us, look out L1.
Forget the result I thought we played really well yesterday, especially in the second half. Results will come if we carry on like that.

Nope, you're just thick. Repetitive, boring, and thick. End of. You do not know him or his level of education so name calling is a bit daft as i see it and there is the thread about attacking the post and not the poster. Just nit necessary Whatever. Hugo made the right decision.

Perhaps if you took part in threads about the football side of the club and not just concentrated on your anti owner/ ground agenda, you might well be taken more seriously. The fact you never reply to questions asked by posters about footballing matters is good reason for people to think you don't attend games. Are you a season ticket holder, do you attend games, what area of the ground do you sit/stand in, how long have you supported the club, have you supported the club since the Eastville, Twerton days and then the Mem? I'm interested and am sure others will be. Thatchers end. Saw last 2 seasons at Eastville, missed probably 5 matches in our entire time at twerton, don't have a season ticket but attend 70% of home games and a few away. That good enough for you? It would be good to read your views on the football related threads, as a long-term supporter, you must have opinions about the football Rovers are currently playing, surely?

It’s really hard to see based on the highlights whether their penalty should have been given. The balls palmed away by Belshaw, then Piggott cleverly gets in before Anderson and goes down when contact is made. Harsh considering Anderson has eyes on the ball and nothing else, whilst Piggott knows if he gets in the way of the challenge and goes down he’ll have a case for a penalty. The Aaron Collins incident having watched it back, Collins sticks his foot almost into the Portsmouth player, then when he makes contact and feels a slight push, he goes down. There’s definite contact and you could argue that the Portsmouth player is stopping him from taking a shot, but Collins never helps himself by going down so theatrically. So it's OK for Piggott to go down theatrically and win a pen but not for Collins to do likewise? It was either two pens on none yesterday. As a footnote Collins always seems to go down theatrically (he did the same in our own pen area just before the pen appeal) so clearly the club must feel that's the best way for him to win pens/fouls.

Perhaps we could crowd fund to buy him a season ticket at City? They have a nicer, shiny stadium and it’s not as if he’s bothered with what happens on the pitch!

At times Collins does tumble far to easily but yesterday his confidence was up, as he pulled the trigger his foot was taken away by the pompey defender's block. 100% penalty if it had been at the other end for Portsmouth. We have had two teams in a week claiming we are a terrible side, could understand it if one was Barnsley but I see nothing in poxford and pompey that says we can't beat them in the return games. Need to make the Mem as intimidating as the bigger stadiums.

I awoke this morning to the idea that this season could pan out a little bit like the last, we are battling away and trying to find ways to impose ourselves in matches, mixed results so far but as the games come so,I think, will momentum. Anderson seems to me to just not be quite there yet, I remember at the open day every cross or pass he attempted seemed to ping wildly away from him, the burton free kick was an aberration, and he’s not firing yet. Minutes, patience, we’re making a huge step up and I’m pretty confident our first 11 or so isn’t far off. We’re nearly at the point of scrapping draws at fratron park when not much goes our way! I’m smiling and brimful of hope and expectation. If we were able to pick a next opponent I think shrewsbury would look pretty juicy, can’t wait. These really are the best of times and there’s new signings coming too!

I think our summer recruitment was very poor, we have looked pretty solid at times this season but we lack creativity, the transfer window will make the difference between a relegation battle and a mid table finish. Certainly much weaker than the team that came up last time under dc.

Everything in the garden at the Rovers garden isn’t rosey, every gashead from 9-90 years of age knows we need better facilities, but we don’t need someone like you on everyone of your posts telling us .

Pompey are fearing Louis Thompson suffered a double leg break against Bristol Rovers. Very sad, but having said that and seen it several times since watching the game, I feel that Whelan did not even see him after committing to get the ball. Thompson came in on his blindside and from behind. Unfortunate but certainly not any malice in what Whelan did. I wish the lad well in his recovery.

Wiki says the Milton Ends current capacity is 2800.
I have to I was surprised yesterday when it came over the tannoy that there were 1800 and something( I think he said 1824 or something).
I have to say there was definitely a lot more than that even with the 3 rows of seats at the front and the section covered between us and there corner.
