I watched pretty much every game of that relegation season, but is it just me or can anyone else not remember anything about him at all? Maybe I've just shut my mind off from it all Him and Sammy Nicholson were the only shining lights.
Think it says a lot about his character just as much as his ability if Joey wants him back after only working with him for a few months in that terrible season.
He reminds me a lot of Mason Mount. Hardworking, covers a lot of ground closing down and pressing, can win the ball back, full of energy, but can also run with the ball, create and score goals.
I think him and Mason Mount are also very good pals, both the same age, both were at Chelsea from the age of 6 and played together all through the academy age groups before McCormick was released from Chelsea last summer.
Double signing incoming then!

Maybe I've just shut my mind off from it all 5th April 2021 he produced one of the best individual performances I’ve seen at the mem in a long time. Beat Donny 2-1 and covered every blade of grass, and scored both. In a season of darkness he was a bright shining flashing light.

Oh Luke why did you have to go and sign a 3 year deal with bloody Wimbledon...
Shame we couldn't have got Finn Azaz in on loan - a cheaper and arguably better option

If Oxford are paying that, it is costing them approx £198k for a season long loan.

Seen a fan on Rovers Twitter suggesting announcement is today.... Be nice to 'officially' get this one over the line after how long the saga has dragged this summer.

Anyone can just have a 'best guess' and suggest an announcement could be today. If its today great, If it's not, it was just a suggestion or there was a 'delay.' Does the account belong to a Mr S Holmes? Doubt it. All these twitter accounts are just crap. Either that or it's our leak and they will have JB after them. (I've just seen him signing the contract ...... although it might not have been him, either way, I win)

If McCormick signs and has a good few seasons with us, it will be better in the long run. Plus if he has a good year or two, we could make a profit on him. Plenty of potential to develop and he will be our player.

I like McCormick as a player, but if Wombles fans are right and he is trying to force a move after happily signing a 3 year deal, id question his attitude and commitment.

He signed a 3 year contract which will at least mean they get a half decent fee.
He only had 1 year left on his contract, but it's not too much different to Hanlan last year. JB tried hard to persuade him to stay but he made it clear he wanted to go to Wycombe.
It's just the way it is. If you get relegated quite often your best players want to leave.

I could have told him Wimbledon would struggle as they normally do at this level. Was always risky signing a 3 year deal with them if you dont intend to ever play in L2.

Had a decent career since then without ripping up any trees.

Why was it risky when he would have always known if they were relegated he could just force a move back to a L1 club/L1 wages? I'm not too fussed about his commitment as long as he performs if he signs for us. After all most of our loan signs have no long term commitment to the club.

I would say that Joey wanting him back and also willing to pay a decent fee to get him back, say's a lot more about what LM's attitude and commitment is like!
