Is it £15 to stand and watch this game? I’m sure it was only £5 a couple of years ago. I haven’t done the maths but probably more expensive for a season ticket holder to watch this game than it is for a league match.

Seriously though I doubt I will be going now due to the cost. I have always enjoyed the games as it’s a chance to watch some of the fringe players and they have always tended to be quite entertaining affairs.

Im I reading right that tickets are only £1 to get in? I spoke to someone in the shop earlier. Matchday ticket office open for pay on the day and I was told it’s £15 for east terrace. I’d normally go to those games but asking me to pay more than I do for a league match where the ground is fully open is taking the water. It’s a second rate competition at the best of times (more so in the games we play against U21 teams) and I’m sure not long ago it was £5 before going up to £10. Its a shame as the games can still be good entertainment and you get to see our fringe players and our youngsters.

Looking forward to seeing absolutely nothing while our team risk injuries to benefit premier league youth teams.

Forgetting the comp, for fitness, experience, minutes and a bit of momentum; i'd line up with
Anssi Hoole Thomas Gordon Anderson Coutts McCormick Clarke Saunders Loft Jasper

Don’t know if any anyone had been watching The academy on tv which has followed Crystal Palace academy over the past year. It offers a great insight into what they expect of their players right up to U23 and the 1sr team. For those that remember Rob Quinn he is the U18s manager - no sniggering at the back please. I expect to see some of these players on Tuesday We've been watching it - very interesting. Like yourself, I'll be looking out for some familiar faces in the Palace side (via i-follow)

Looking forward to this one after the spirit we showed on Saturday - Have a feeling we will have a good number of the team really looking to make a good impression....
Think it will be a good game potentially.

FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED
Crystal Palace Under 21 side are unbeaten after 10 fixtures this season.
Their PL2 Division 1 record is P - 7, W - 5, D - 2, L - 0 , GF - 19, GA - 9, PTS - 17.
They have also beaten Hertha BSC U21 1 - 0, PSG U21 7 - 3 and Swindon Town 2 - 0.
Only Manchester City Under 21 side are above The Eagles in their league, on goal difference.
Unless a fairly strong and balanced Bristol Rovers side is selected the game might be tougher than many suspect.
The Eagles team have beaten Spurs Under 21 side 3 - 0 and Manchester United Under 21 team 5 - 1 this season.
Will they be the first Under 21 side to reach the final of this "peculiar" lower league competition?
Could they be the first Under 21 team to win the Papa Johns Cup?
Might this then signal the death of this "variation" of the EFL Trophy?
PREVIOUSLY known as
Associate Members Cup Freight Rover Trophy Leyland DAF Cup Autoglass Trophy Auto Windscreens Trophy LDV Vans Trophy Johnstone's Paint Trophy Checkatrade Trophy Leasing.com Trophy
Will a proper lower league competition ever return?
