Agree. No chance. There is more chance of tbone voting Taylor our player of the year and giving him a hand job round the back of the South Stand than us signing Tubbs. when Tubbs signs for us will you do a willy dance round the back of the South Tent, with JTS playing the cymbals? Now that is what I would call HT entertainment! We do that every home game anyway.

Liverpool don't play Lambert to his strengths but as a big centre forward type, which he isn't. He's played like this most of the season. Southampton played him as a playmaker, a bit like Sheringham in his day, and reaped the benefits of his intelligent positioning and passing in what was a very fluent forward line, unlike Liverpool's egoistic one. I'm sure if they played him deeper behind Balotelli and Sterling they'd reap the rewards too. They have no link player at all. It's all rough and tumble with a bit of individual brilliance thrown in, a bit like Man Utd when they relied so heavily on Brian Robson and didn't win the league for 25 years or so.

When Lambo plays for Lverpool he looks about as good as Andy Carroll did. Don't play to his style so it was pointless him going there really. Would be so more beneficial at another club

Liverpool's become a team of egos since Suarez left. Coutinho is such a frustrating player to watch, mazy runs finished with the same weak shot straight into the goalie's arms when there's always a better option available. Surely Rogers has sussed this out by now. I think he has his favourite players that he sticks by. Never mind, Sturridge'll be back soon shooting over the bar from impossible angles. Suarez for all his nonsense really did keep that forward line working for each other last season.

Even a Lge 1 team (us) can work out that you need to build the team around him, not the other way around. If we can see that, and Soton could, why can't Liverpool? Why exactly did they buy him?

Feel very sorry for Lambert's predicament at Liverpool. Everytime I have seen him play on the box this season he has looked like a lost soul. Time and time again this season I have seen him get in the box for a cross and his team mates seem to ignore him and go for the glory finish everytime. It happened several times last night and having watched the likes of Sterling in previous games who appears to me as just a greedy little B....r and chooses to go for glory everytime he gets near the penalty area and does not look up to see other players like Ricky in far better positions. The sooner the better he moves on me thinks, I feel quite sure a few Premier league teams will make better use of him than Liverpool ever will.

It was a dream move for him, but a classic case of 'be careful what you wish for'. No doubt he is earning a handsome wage but Lambert doesn't seem the type to be motivated by money. He just doesn't seem to fit in at Liverpool and I would imagine there would be a host of Premier League sides interested if he was available. I could definitely see Rickie getting 10-12 goals if he moves to a West Brom or Hull City, helping them to stay up. I would imagine he is out of Roy Hodgson's thinking now, particularly with Andy Carroll playing well again.

I said at the time he wouldn't do well there. Obviously not the right player for Liverpool. Nice pay day for him and his boyhood club is the only reason he went there. Should leave ASAP and go to Palace or QPR or somewhere where they'll build around him. He'd be brilliant again.

Wouldn't want to see him go to a Prem team under pressure to score goals to keep them up with a likely outcome he gets relegated with them. Would want him to stay in the Prem as long as possible as recognition of his long journey to get there. A team like Villa or even Everton who play with wingers / raiding wing backs that get crosses in are far more suited teams to his assets. Yes players do move between Mersey clubs !!

Agreed A middle of the road team would be a good fit and I'm sure he'd probably get 10 before the seasons out. Never gonna work at Liverpool he's just not a big enough or young enough name for them so was never given the chance to make a place his own. I understand why he went though, boyhood club and a good payday which in comparison to others he hasn't had, especially considering how short a career it is. Hope he gets another few years at a prem team where I'm sure he'll prove he's still got it.

Don't Swansea try to play a similar style of football to Liverpool that Monk learned as a player under Rodgers? If they also like to keep it on the floor and play it into the feet of the strikers then I can see him being as ineffective as he appears to be at Liverpool.
But then again, completley contradicting what I have just wrote myself, Southampton built up a reputation for playing a neat passing game and he certainly seemed to do alright there.

Was told Swansea was interested Nothing on the local rumour mill or in the local rag to confirm that. Plenty of talk about the likelhood of Bony to Man City, although offer not yet been made and also that Gomis is being sought by a number of clubs. Also that Monk is looking to Europe for possible replacements for them.
