I think people who post things they have been 'told by someone at the club' should have the guts to name the person who gave then the good news. and if people did that, no one would ever find anything out at BRFC Well, only information they were entitled to know.

Which is the only time it's safe to assume something's actually going to happen anyway.

I quite like a rumour! Couldn't careless if they don't happen! It's all a bit of fun really!
How are the rumours about Sainsbury's coming along?

Life is grey. It's not black and white. It seems like the OP thinks the latter. Rovers were interested, and Tubbs was (is?) interested in working with Darrell again. Maybe he will go to another club. One that is in Lge 2, closer to home, and can maybe offer better facilities, bigger crowds and bigger wages/bonuses? That's surely all that needs to be said? No one was conned by anyone. It's just called life. I agree life is not black and white. However, Isn't the suggestion that the club would never leak stories just as blinkered though? There are posters who have felt a little....used...in the past are there not? I'm no board basher, I never thought we would sign Tubbs and I'm not sure the OP was misled deliberately about this but its possible isn't it?

How are the rumours about Sainsbury's coming along? They've doubled the offer to £60 mil.

Nothing in this instance I don't suppose.

Here's an update about the Mem, as told to me by a member of the backroom staff.
The deal has fallen through, although the Board expect to receive around 5 million in compensation. The Council, having seen the benefits of the project for the whole of North Bristol, will take over the project. They will plan to build a Roma/Somalian/Syrian resettlement centre on the Mem. This will please TRASH as it will increase the number of potential shoppers for the world famous Gloucester Road Independent Traders. In no way will it effect local house prices and in fact, it will only increase the multicultural scene in the area. Rovers will be bought by a consortium fronted by Ollie, with Lord Sugar, Noel Edmonds, Eddie Large and Mike Ashley. Mr Blobby will not be part of the deal as the bloke who was inside Blobby now lives in New Zealand after he ditched the Blobby character when he discovered that the BBC were paying him 45 quid a day for appearances, but were actually charging 1500 quid! The consortium will provide the money to build the UWE stadium with the only change being that it will be named The Squiggly Bottom Stadium.
Oh, and I was told that by Maud, the lady who irons the kit.
PS - Part of this is true !

How are the rumours about Sainsbury's coming along? "Sainsbury's to buy and sell Tubs!" Ice-cream and yogurt mostly. You heard it here first.
