Wycombe so more street wise than us. Put us under a bit of pressure and our porcelain defence cracks. Passing was pathetic all game, unless it was sideways and backwards along our defence, we could hardly string any passes together going forward without over hitting it. Sinclair,Evans need resting now just completely out of sorts. Unfortunately you have summed it up precisely. Sinclair and Evans are both capable of so much more which is why I find them so frustrating.

Think this game showed we still need two full backs another centre mid. Cant see at present the need for sinclair to start who for a player of his standing just doesn't seem to get involved enough.

Thought we were very good first half, 1-1 flattered Wycombe. Their centre halves couldn't cope with Cobern & Collins. Conceding so early in the 2nd half seemed to knock us and we never really recovered. A couple of half chances but we didn't really create a clear cut chance 2nd half. I think most of us would have taken half way through the season with 31 points, I have every faith in Joey to bring in a couple of players to improve us further in Jan. A blip today but we're definitely going in the right direction

Think some of the Evans critics are being a tad harsh.
Made the goal with his pass. Opened up the defence with a couple of other through balls.
For sure, he still doesn't seem fit enough for a full 90 and hasn't hit the heights everyone knows he's capable of. But there is still enough there to affect the game with the quality of the lads in front of him.
ps. Wycombe are 'orrible.

Away from the trading estate arena very quick, unusual stuff!
No panic here, disjointed & frustrating display after taking the lead but as mentioned it’s first league defeat since Derby away on October 29th.
Too many not at the races, our final ball all day was awful. Coulda shoulda had a second before they levelled up but wasn’t to be.
Our afternoon summed up right at the end when Collins is put through down the channel. Cuts back, p**s weak scuffed effort that didn’t beat the first man. Grim.
Wycombe? Can’t say any more than what’s already been said, not even streetwise, just a cheating pack of has beens and never will be’s. They pocket the ref early, get their noses in front and the diving/trainer on begins. Blatant for all to see but all the officials have in their eyes is that championship call up come new year.
Onto Exeter, still only a few off the top pack. Chance to bounce back in front of a bumper crowd.

Some people worrying about Sinclair signing a new contract, maybe it's Sinclair that should be worrying Barton won't offer him a new contract Joey see's him, day in, day out. I trust Joeys judgement. Aaron Collins took 6 months to bed in, John Marquis the same. There could be various reasons why

Aaron Collins took 6 months to bed in, John Marquis the same. There could be various reasons why He’s not a wing back Needs to be driving forward in an advanced role We really need to recruit in the wing backs both sides to get the best out of this squad. Maybe today was not the day to go gung-ho with a front 3, but you can’t knock JB overall for his attacking mentality. Put this behind us and move onto Exeter which should be a cracking atmosphere. Another weak referee. Standard was shocking last year and this division seems to suffer with the same.

Oh dear! Got the result right, only wrong way round!! Always suspected this might happen. Over to someone else for an easier one in Exeter at home on Thursday!

After such a good start ‘twas a shame to lose that. Should have killed the game off when we were on top. Not the end of the world though.
Meanwhile if you would like some light relief a visit to OTIB (Other Team in Bristol) will cheer you up immensely.

Ifollow commentators were jokingthat it wouldn't be long before their keeper starts going down with a hammy injury. Seems it happens quite a lot going by their comments

Comfortably beat Portsmouth and then Ipswich at home in their last two games. Watched the pompey game on Sky and they skinned them. This is not an easy game, we will do well to get a point in my opinion. Pompey are in a shocking run of form and even lost 2-0 at home to MK Dons in their last match at home. The fact Ipswich had 70% of possession hardly suggests Wycombe are anything but a score a goal and defend side. You were saying?

Fair comment - it’s a bit frustrating to lose like that, but it’s a valuable lesson in needing to be a bit more ruthless when you’re in front, effective game-management and putting teams properly to the sword when we’re clearly the better team playing better football. Oh and JB’s post-match was really good imho.

Yeah we had them on the ropes completely dominated the opening and should have killed them off. Once they equalised it was always going to be tough and once they got the second they’re so good at feigning injury and time wasting it was a mountain climb.
