Regarding Kilgour a friend of mine mentioned early in the season that Chesterfield were interested Do you think Alfie will want to drop down to non league though he's a better level than non-league I still think he can do a job in league 1 just his injury hasn't helped him

If we get offered 1.5mn, 3mn for AC we should tell whoever’s offering to foxtrot off and multiply. He’s on a long contract and we should hold onto him unless we’re offered something lucrative. We shouldn’t have our pants pulled down this time. I agree. But I don't think JB is the kind of person to let us get out pants down. Hopefully

We’re so used to getting our pants pulled down but we really shouldn’t be with AC. Personally I’d be disappointed with anything less than 5mn. Double it if it’s our neighbours.

If we can't sign Connor Taylor then a older more experienced CB similar to a Tony Craig mould wouldn't be a bad signing if you remember rightly DC signed Craig in the winter window

Plus lots called for us to get Macca, not worked out yet.

We have the 3rd worst defensive record in League 1 and the 5th best scoring record. He needs to bring in someone to improve the defensive record if possible.

Personally, I don’t think the problem is with the individual players as such. A better investment might be with a defensive coach, even if it’s a part-time or a temporary consultant. The players all look good players to me but as a collective it’s just not working for them. I think they would benefit from a consistent formation and selection. Partnerships and understandings, especially at the back, shouldn’t be underestimated. Centre backs need to work and trust each other as a pair, the right sided centre half and right back need to work together, as does the right back with the person playing immediately in front of them etc, etc……Having said all that if there was even a whiff of a chance of signing Connor Taylor on a permanent deal I’d be all over that. Regarding Belshaw, his form has slipped and he’s made a few mistakes but a kick up the backside is more than enough. I can’t believe we’ve got fans calling for our current player of the year to be replaced. A ‘sweeper keeper’ at this level will always make the odd mistake, it comes with the territory and bravery needed to play that role effectively. He’s prevented so many one-on-one chances by coming off his line over the past 18 months and that seems to have now been taken for granted and when it goes wrong there are calls for him to be booted out. We need to be careful what we wish for. I think we are well catered for up front so would only bring someone in if Loft and Saunders were made available for transfer. Midfield is a problem at the moment. Rossiter is being missed massively and I do fear (simply because of his long history of knee problems) that he’ll be missing longer than we all think - obviously hope I’m wrong on that. A young, mobile, quick, ball winning youngster from a prem or championship club would fit the bill. Some back up for Finley would also be handy. Attacking centre mid I’m still confident that Evans and Macca will return to form.

Harry Anderson contract runs out in June we desperately need to tie Harry down to a longer contract! He's been massively missed this season when not playing.

They're the only decent players we've sold on in recent years that come to mind. But that's probably the full list of players we'd have been disappointed about anyway, bar JCH who is probably the only decent player we got a decent fee for IMO and even then it was still on the low side. Everyone else people would have been happy to have lost anyway. Ayunga / Hanlan come to mind.

Seems he's settled with part-time coaching at Millwall academy now, and I wouldn't be surprised if he get a full-time coaching role there at the end of the season.

Joey will put up a stance and I believe Collins is wise to stick around a year longer before he takes a big risk in moving up a league. We've seen it with so many strikers over the years who think the step up is achievable but end up coming back down half the player they were when they left. Yes the wages sweetens it but their career goes back 2 years if they don't make it. I trust the player and Joey to get Collins career decision right but looking at him 12 months of good form in league one and two is too soon for a move to the championship.

Still should put a bid in for leahy. A goal scoring left back would fit us well and is also a leader that Joe wants

He doesn't fit into any of the ingredients that Joey has outlined for targets before, but I think you could be spot on. I can't see it happening but it could be a surprise masterstroke.

Especially considering he moved on a year later for 450k.

Would suggest we got a good fee as he never went for more. Billy, again a good fee considering his record before and after.
