We can now sell season tickets for matches online via ticketmaster account. Really easy - just put two for sale for MK Dons as will be away - lets hope it runs smoothly at the turnstiles!

That doesn't seem like a good idea for the club

Brighton Gas it has been advertised by the club for season ticket holders to be able to take part in. I would be interested to see how successful this is as a seller and how much you actually get back by doing this. I am not sure how you get refunded from the information tweeted is it to spend on other tickets or off next years season ticket as it didn't look as if you would actually get money back to your bank account.

Will build up and use for next years ST i guess as no cup games left.

I never bothered returning mine, tried to pass on to a friend or went unused before I just looked for the next home game and I would get £15. I would be happy to let the club re-sell if I can't make it. Brighton do something similar and I assumed we would at some point.

"Head of Sales David Bright said: “We received a lot of feedback at the end of last season that fans wanted the club to be able to offer something online for Season Ticket holders to be able to release their tickets back if they couldn’t make a match.' It looks to me like he's got the wrong end of the stick here! I thought the point was the help the club generate more revenue, not season ticket holders!

Shouldn't the ticket holder get the money for effectivly selling on their ticket? Otherwise what's the point?

If a seat is £25, I get 15 back and the club keep 10 or something like that.

Surely the season ticket holder gets some money back (says pro rata so call it 15 quid) but the club are selling it for 25 quid plus the original money they have already received from the ST purchase so not exactly losing are they?!
Decent looking scheme all round as long as its technically proficient. And this is Rovers.

Let's face it, you got a Ticket, Season or a one off for an all ticket match, if you can't make it, most of us are going to offer it to a mate for nothing or a beer when you see them next.

Unless they buy me a pint i’m threatening my mates with the ticket exchange now. Cheap bastards.

I assume season tickets that get put up for sale become available to buy as normal through the Rovers website?

Perfect for myself as I work one Saturday day every 5 weeks, so no chance of attending a home fixture if it lands. Will look into it👍🏻

www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2023/january/ticket-exchange/Way I’m interpreting this is that a season tickets pro rata worth is less than the face value equivalent of a single ticket match. Therefore the club get whatever the difference is between the pro rata worth of the season ticket and the full price match day ticket. So very much win win for everyone involved.

Of course it is. That’s what you do with tickets when you can’t make it, isn’t it? UTG!
