If you wanted a political debate, maybe the general chat might be a better place for it. I would also recommend the use of the words "their" and "know" to help with that debate. Condescending ! Maybe. I was just trying to help. You don't get many working class members of the green party. Green party supporters tend to be middle class degree educated, white collar workers. I was just trying to help the poster when they have these debates online or when they confront someone who supports green values that using 'there' instead of 'their' or 'no' instead of 'know' would put them on the back foot straight away.

Gasify Why not have a reasonable debate ?. The Green party hold a lot of power and are the biggest group in the council . They are the only group openly opposed to any stadium project . They have accepted they backed three groups . Emma promised ' if the club meets and ammends ' she will reconsider. The club have listened ( late I accept ) . Will the Greens now back this fresh group of objections? It's a major question now ! The club have listened up to a point. The Solar panels on the South Stand roof is a fantastic idea. Would probably save a few quid over the coming years too. I don't think you have to be a green supporter to realise that is something that can be done which benefits everyone. The transport idea is also a good one. Maybe we should set up a free bus that goes from Brislington, Lyde Green and the Portway Park and rides. It wouldn't be difficult to have busses leaving every 15 mins before and after the game. Maybe BCC could pay for this as part of their Green agenda?

Also regular buses running for fans specifically. Cheap ticket too.

Not sure I want to pay more for my match day tickets so a few hundred fans can enjoy free transport at my expense. When the club tried to operate a paid coach service in the past there was little demand.

Will we fill the New stand with cardboard cut out full sized fans if we are not able to use it due to the greens taking the issue to court of human rights.

If that service existed, why not use that service yourself?

Don't fall of you seat but I actually agree with you. I think it makes total sense to put solar panels on the stand, could possibly also harvest the rain water. I also agree some sort of park and ride type service would be good, although i'm sure it could be discount fares rather than free. I think the problem with a park and ride would be where the busses could drop off and pick up. There would need to be a reserved section of road or similar. If we are to significantly increase capacity then this would need to be thought about. We wouldn't be able to carry on just trying to find parking spots nearby. Hopefully Ashley Down station will help too. I would very much suspect if we increased the capacity of the mem to 15K+ then resident permit parking would be introduced on match days in the area.

Just because you own a house in a street doesn’t give you any legal entitlement to park outside your house. Yours sincerely Mr B Tit Alton Road.

It’s bloody annoying when people do this and even worse, if they block you in. I do not live next to a football stadium though yet it still happens. They cannot say it’s exclusive to them.

The FM would have been ideal for this especially rail. Anyone know when Ashley Down station is due to open?

Looking at the objections in so far, almost all mention parking being a nightmare on matchdays. *IF* there was an incentive to get the bus/train/whatever instead of driving up, it would certainly help with getting the local residents onside!
