Interesting that this time a proper planning company signed off on the application and not the CEO.

From the report they are leasing the land form Oxfordshire CC. UTG! It seems pretty easy to get council support in a one club city not so easy when they are two pro football clubs. Although pp might not be that easy to obtain: "A poll held by Kidlington Parish Council in May saw 29.99% of residents cast a vote. The majority of those opposed it" Perhaps you’re right it may be harder but what about South Gloucestershire, that could be a one club authority I guess. And I guess that’s why it’s so frustrating, everyone, including what you’ve written is all about people looking for excuses and reasons why something doesn’t happen rather than planning to ensure it does happen. Another excuse after so many years. UTG!

If you want some help with the planning process. Danica Priest on X/Twitter posted a tweet at 10.00pm on Monday 9th October 2023 that might help. "I've started a video series called ‘Teaching You Boring Planning Stuff’ where I teach you boring planning stuff that’s useful to know. Ep1 explains the difference between commenting on a planning application and submitting a statement to the planning committee." It was also placed on TikTok! by danicapriest at the same time. Really interesting. Of course Danica slipped in several times that her audience would be looking to object, but no reason why the tactic of sending statements to committee and requesting to speak could be used by those in favour.

The point is Oxford CC are also supplying the land unlike BCC. The only way we can fund the FM is to sell the Mem.

I think we need to stop looking at others and making it their fault..why should we be given any land? What is the right deal for BRFC? It seems we want a new ground, or like the idea of it, but don't want to have to pay for it and all the terms need to be in our favour. The whole stadium saga, gives a real indication of the owners appetite for success. If the South stand is a sign of how things will look in 10 years, temporary looking, pillars everywhere...slight improvement on what was there. It doesn't really get me excited.

I strongly believe that before next season starts there will be a new CEO in place.

Is it all his doing or was he just working under instructions from Wael? If he wouldn't sanction the cost of planning experts then what's TG supposed to do, refuse to submit the plans? Likewise why hasn't the club appointed a replacement Club Secretary, down to TG or Wael?

Wael is Paul, the leader, making plans, aiming to get the job done. Gorringe is Barry, always saying yes, slightly browbeaten and also aiming to get the job done. Unfortunately they ultimately don't, there's plenty of mistakes and it makes for great 90's kids television. Oh dear, oh dear.

Didn't you say in the other forum that there was no room to build a larger, 3-4,000 seater stand?

I said there wasn't room for a 4,000 capacity stand going on the size of the Atyeo Stand at Ashton (capacity 4,200), the new South Stand will hold 3,425.

You did, whilst it is slightly lower than the Attyeo, it's still more than many were expecting.

I mentioned this before everytime a new stadium is mentioned. Think it falls on deaf ears. The FM would have been ideal for this especially rail. Anyone know when Ashley Down station is due to open? Looking at the objections in so far, almost all mention parking being a nightmare on matchdays. *IF* there was an incentive to get the bus/train/whatever instead of driving up, it would certainly help with getting the local residents onside! I tried getting the number 73 out if Bradley Stoke, it takes an hour on average, be quicker to walk.
