After printing Bristol City on our shirts, I am somewhat relieved we didn't decide to go for red seats.

Pretty sure people can move where they like in this country and it’s not an offence. Also as far as I’m aware there’s nothing to say you have to support the local football club. That said , they seem to be a sad bunch of professional moaners 😀 Professional moaners? Well at least they have something in common with many on here then 😂 including yourself

Labour Party slogan = "stands" for the workers? Except for children and OAP's everyone in Horfield is a worker so vote vote Labour for "SW STAND" Tory Party slogan = "stands" for the middle class? Except for children and OAP's everyone in Horfield is middle class (according to some) who are also workers (except a few Greens who are Upper class) So vote Tory for "SW STAND" Green Party = "stands" alone to save the planet and can't see we all want that but not in their way of pulling down football stadiums to build City Forests, making us all vegans and making us walk 20km a day to/from work. As an aside, from the looks of it most houses along the Mem frontage on Filton Ave are rented HMO dwellings. The same is true in Alton Rd and Strathmore Rd. Don't know current ownership of these but in the past a fair few of these houses were in the ownership of members of Rovers board. I am aware that fairly recently probably 3 houses in Alton Rd were still in that category (perhaps ex board members) as a "worker" was employed to work there by the member and found 30 footballs in the overgrown back garden. UTG no not the Greens

UTG no not the Greens What your saying is partly true and all political parties will be positioning themselves for a general election ( that's coming from a Labour supporter). However: from a bias point of view . I want the best for Bristol Rovers and am both jealous and frustrated going to other sporting venues and seeing / sitting inmodern stands and facilities. I follow cricket and rugby too. And let's be honest and open. Up to this point there is only one party who backs lobbyist. The three other main parties have made it crystal clear they support this development. If the Greens don't call it in. I see no reason why this can't go to committee in December with a safety certificate issued for the big fixtures v pompey & Charlton. We all want a sensible solution . The community opted for a ' community asset ' to safeguard its future . It don't want retail. Other models in Bristol have been given the Green light (Ashton Gate & county ground). And quite frankly it's getting embarrassing that a stand would of taken 1 year in February since the first submission. It's far too long and making the city a ridicule. We all know the crack and it needs to be put to a committee and a political decision made .

I’ve received a letter today - in fact two identical letters from Bristol City Council asking me if I wish to comment on Planning Application No. 33/03826/F - “Replacement of the current South and South West Stands with an improved facility to increase the number of seats within the Memorial Stadium, and new toilet facilities and concession stalls.” Slightly odd I feel as I live in South Gloucestershire. I will respond via the council’s website at www.bristol.gov.uk/planningonline. Please reply 30 October 2023.

Unusually efficient, but costly from BCC.

Same here but their automated response thanks me for my response objecting to the application?? As i went into great detail explaining why I supported it I have contacted them to confirm my SUPPORT. Do you think City fans work in the planning Dept?

Damage has been done regarding staff. Litigation against the club by more than one long serving demeaned staff member is a terrible accolade on TG stewardship. I've never heard of this in my memory in and around the club. It's a shame the CEO conducts his business in such a way, but hey it taint the club I recognise, and not many give a flying fig.....so replace experienced staff with outsource or someone who doesn't have a clue, and it doesn't take long for the rest of the football world to see we are embarrassment with the basics. Is this litigation a current thing, or are you referring to past events? Sorry TT, been away from here for a bit but just got back. Both.
