It looks like we’ve missed the opportunity to put GAS or PIRATES spelt out on the seats in white. Very disappointing, puss up & brewery? Looking good though 👍 Probably not in the package. And charged at a silly amount extra to add back in! Fecking cheapskates!

Not sure I’m a fan of having BRFC / the gas in white seats anyway. Looks naff unless you have enough seats to do something more interesting!

Have to agree, would seem a bit odd when half the stand has away fans in it too. Much better to save that sort of thing for the redeveloped Thatchers End's vast Dortmund style bank so the residents of Alton Road can see it when they look out their bathroom windows.

To be fair seats can be swapped out and changed to add a logo, quite easily. I wonder if it will get done a bit later down the line.

Emailed TG at 1600 today as regards swopping standing ST and moving to the new stand. He confirmed that once the stand is finished shortly that will be the case and to look out for an announcement. His reply was at 1604, so obviously is still very much in position, but it would appear I did not interupt any Managers interview! Sorry, what will be the case???

Quite obvious to the untrained eye. The piles are already there with the steelwork of the new stand, so nothing to do with that. Clevedongas has said on here months ago it was where the new scoreboard/ screen was going, have no reason to doubt Sean on this I'm sure it was said on radio Bristol in an interview with Wael that a scoreboard / screen was going in. It would be an odd place to put the scoreboard, inside a stand? I'm fairly certain it's not shown on the plans submitted to BCC.

It was in a 1604 case not 1600 as originally thought !.

What should they spell out in the seats ?
Mine would be plain and simply, 1883 or Gas

Does anyone know why the roof slopes upwards so much from back to front? To match the roofline of the new East Stand(s) maybe?

Hopefully the seats will be occupied most games so spending money to spell anything is a waste.
I asked Tom Gorringe yesterday about the sacking rumours and/or serving his notice. He replied in about an hour that the rumours were false so he was afraid we were stuck with him.

Maybe when they extend the East stand the will refurbish the existing section and swap the seats to match the blue with the South Stand and add white for lettering. "The Gas" would be my preference as that is unique rather than BRFC (also Blackburn)

The south stand juts out infront of the away end , so spectators in the corner of the away terrace have to look through the south stand to see the goal mouth area, that is why there is no end on that side of the south stand. If seats were put in the corner of the stand which is currently empty and the supporters stood up from their seats which they do , the view of supporters on the away end would be blocked , so the club have to leave that corner clear of seats/fans.

I thought the capacity on the away terrace was being reduced so no fans would be expected to use the fa end of that terrace? If fans stood up in the lower part wouldn't they block their view anyway?

Fans at the front of the south stand are lower down , so don't create such a problem . Anyway that is my theory , I could speak to TG about it, but if you go to the next gameand look across from the westside of the stadium you will see what I mean.

That part of the terrace will no longer be used and the club has lowered the capacity of that terrace accordingly.
