Can only assume the plan next year will be to release the blocks nearest the west side of the new stand first and see how much of that we can fill up with season tickets holders. Once a block fills up more will get released for home fans. Segregation of home and away will the vary depending on away sales.
Bottom line is if we don't want huge chunks of the new stand to be full of away fans Rovers fans will need to commit.

Then the club needs to market and sell as many as possible. Its needs to pre plan how it can utilise sales. For example we need to avoid a Ipswich & Sheff w situation were the crowd was 8500 and we could of sold another 1500 each to away fans . The capacity reached 10100 in the final months.

So what do u think the open space is for ? I've been told there may be a big screen there, but it's not decided yet and seats could be put there in stead very easily if required. Wonder if there would be a way to get a small/thin scoreboard on the roof of the stand in the middle? Possibly slightly hanging down from the front which wouldn't obstruct the view of the seats at the back?

I think Marquis and Brown would have that bugger off its hinges and into Row A injuring the fans below with the way they have been shooting this season.

This is my issue, if i was moving there, i'd want a ST in the best block, right behind the goal, but doubt this will be possible. The corner is a big no from me! Think i will give up my east stand ticket (as much as i love it and the view) as there will be plenty more to buy game by game, and with half games not on saturdays and little chance of ticket resale with the new stand - it just aint worth it.

Perhaps if we put it on the cross bar they would have better success?

They can - or could until it was delayed. Pretty much the Southwest stand and a small part of the south. Away terrace has gone from 800 to 500 as stand may block view and pitch has moved forward. I assume the club will work out max away allocation for seats and sell future ST tickets based on seats guaranteed for home fans. If fans go on ticketing website and click Pompey . The above comments seems pretty accurate as it suggest all south west stand and a part of south stand with a segregated area for home fans only. The rest to the left I assume for away fans P.s You would need to click west terrace as No tickets on sale for south stand yet. I dont think this has changed since the start of the season? Just a mess of dots that dont line up with the sections in the stand!

Would it matter too much if we didn't have a scoreboard? I managed to follow the games from 1957 until the late 1990s without any scoreboard - can't say it ruined my enjoyment of the games. The only scoreboard at Eastville was the halftime letters thing where you had to buy a programme to see whose scores were under each letter. Proper old fashioned football!
I'm sure there will be a scoreboard somewhere - I quite like the little ones we currently have on the perimeter adverts.

Liking the way this is coming together. Happy with the blue seats. I really wonder why they left that gap in the top left section, I assume for the scoreboard but that seems like a waste of space to me. We will find out soon enough. Something we won't know after it's completed though, is why they have left that south west side smaller. It appears there would be enough space behind to have it be the same height as the rest of the south side, it would also closer match the height of the west stand. So why did they make it this odd, shorter height?? I can't imagine it being the roof getting in the way of people in the directors boxes on the west as some have mentioned, if anything the roof being higher would mean it is less intrusive of the view for people in that west stand. I hope they come out and explain. No point in having it any higher, as the seating cannot go back any farther. If it did the west stand would block the views of those in the new south west section. It is quite apparent this is the case when viewed from the gangway to the west terrace. The penny finally dropped, thank you. I thought people were saying that those in the west stand boxes would not be able to see the pitch if the new SW section was taller. Definitely makes sense now that if seats went further back the view of the pitch would be blocked by the west stand

Was only told on Saturday that there will be no ST for the South Stand.... Surely that can't be right. Bonkers if so. Needs to have a phased opening apparently. probably be made to look like a prize penis now when the club announce half season tickets. but honestly that is what I was told Saturday at the shop.

Our CEO told me yesterday in his instant reply to my email that ST’s would be available as previously for people to change areas with existing ST,s in other areas of the ground. That was the reply to my question, I hasten to add I did not ask about people buying new ST’s.
