As i previously posted it's almost identical to what Gloucester rugby put in at Kingsholm, it's a vast improvement and a fine addition to our facilities , enjoy !

Latest on the Stand update from club this morning
1) Club hope to have the stand open for Tuesday night , but there are a couple of obstacles with the council that have to be sorted first.
2) The club hope to be able to sell half year season tickets soon for the south stand when the stadium is back up to 100% capacity. So if you want to watch our promotion push from the new south stand and get a half year season ticket to do it with , then keep an eye on the official website.
3) There will be no cladding on the east side of the new stand , this means any away fans , like some of those from Northampton who decided to stand on the away terrace and watch the game looking through the side of the new stand will still be able to do so. Also will be open to allow new east stand to link up.
4) The gap in the seating on the east side of the new stand is to remain, it will be filled when the new east stand extension is completed (subject to planning)so that the seating of the two stands can be integrated.

Excellent news and 4) sounds like no gaps around that south/east corner which will hopefully look pretty smart.

What - thinking ahead and being professional? What will the moaners have to say about that?

Call me a sad little man but I can’t wait to walk through the turnstiles on Tuesday and see the new stand. Can’t believe we’ve actually improved our tented village.

On another note, there are those mostly on the other sad forum , who spread around rumours about TG and his job , but he has done more for this club in the 45 years i have been watching them than any other paid boss, and I thanked him for that.

I think it will look even better when the blackout fencing has come down. I’m guessing this is concealing a few more rows of seats. Soon to be shown off in all its glory, roll on Tuesday.

Anyone know why there is a gap on the left top? (JOKE PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER!) I wondered that but I assume it is for when they build the new stand (East stand). If you look at the other end of the new south stand you can see the same ( I think!)

(Not everyone will be on this thread or on this forum) I agree to some extent , but the club are not 100% sure the stand will have all the certification by Tuesday , or when it will be fully open, so if they announce something and there is then a hitch , well they will get criticised , so it is best to keep official announcements until they are 100% sure.

Those pictures from the Post just show how much room there was to have a fantastic stadium on that site if the training ground and car park hadn’t been sold off. You almost could have had an entrance to the site directly off Muller Rd.

Thanks for that twerton.Just goes to show the club know what they are doing and know where they are going with this. It appears to me the new owners are further ahead with their plans for ground improvements than many of us give them credit for.
