What I would like the ground to look like is demolish the west stand and the north terrace build a continuous stand from the new south stand right around to the east stand and build a massive east stand in sure we could get the ground up to 20k I'm sure you will be told, you need a reality check. I used to think like you. Don't expect anything modern or that will cost too much. We don't have the money.

It will cost money but that's the way of the world these days nothing comes cheap unfortunately Of course you are right but I think that, for the last 50/40/30/20/10 years, it has continually been the case. Whatever has happened and whichever of the owners who have arrived to fanfares of talking positively about a new ground it has never happened for whatever reason. When Wael arrived he said that finance wouldn’t be an issue but it quickly became one although tbf to him the planning for this stand appears to have begun under him. And his other actions over the debt and generally financing a loss making club leaves him still with a good reputation. Would I have been happy with a brand new shiny ground? Yes of course , that would have been great but I’m watching a plan come together for a ground improvement at last. I haven’t seen many of those in my 55 years watching us. Nothing ever came cheap and it’s all relative to the age we’re talking about. The bottom line is that these owners have made a decision (to stay at the Mem) and are starting to upgrade the ground. I think that’s a good thing others, I appreciate, may have a different pov. UTG!

Still won't be good enough for some on here. It's a nice new stand, but.... It's not nice enough, It's not a new build, It should have been done years ago. 🫣 I thought the same, but after much research I think it’s the best that could be achieved. Nearly 3500 seats in that part of the ground under cover is an amazing upgrade.

Just being sarcastic. 👍

The concourse area under the stand... how is it to be segregated?

The concourse area under the stand... how is it to be segregated? Ann Widdecombe faces appears through a hole and everyone runs away screaming !.

The concourse area under the stand... how is it to be segregated? Would have thought gated fencing under each section, so depending on size of away following the relevant gateways would be closed. From memory there are four toilet blocks, two at the south east corner and two south west.

Surely there is going to be some advertising at the front, like the old totaliser. Could help raise some additional funds to save costs. The angle of the roof is massive, so people will still get wet in the first few rows. Has there been any sponsorship/ naming rights announced?
