Just look to Wrexham to see how a football club benefits from being a one club city, it sounds like their local (labour!) council is funding most of the cost of their new stand. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-65313484.ampWrexham are really starting to water me off. First the amount of national headlines they got for getting promoted out of non league was ridiculous. Secondly they have multimillion pound owners why the f**k is the tax payer fitting the bill for most of their new stand. 🤬. I'm probably just jealous but still doesn't sit right with me that. Try living close by🙄🙄,the explanation for the £25m is that it's a Wales Government grant, doh no matter how you dress it up it's taxpayers money dolled out to rich owners at the same time local Schools are desperate for money and the town centre is awash with homeless, makes my blood boil, labour,Tory all the bloody same 😡😡 Went past ground yesterday, new floodlights already being installed.

If the decision involves those left wing Rovers hating twots from Protest Central in the guise of BCC then the decision has its always been during the past 80 years is absolutely no chance. Looking around Home Park last night thinking if only we had the same level support has PAFC have been given with open arms from PCC. I've always wondered why we never got a new stadium. I thought at various times it was the greyhound company, Sainsbury's, UWE, the owners, the chairmen, the poor managers, the dodgy players or the world banking collapse. Now I know it's due to left wing councillors in Bristol. All this time!! It's the loony BCFC left wing voters who voted for the looney left councillors on BCC. You get what you vote for, then complain they don't know what they are doing. Or is it voters don't know what they vote for? Potholes, traffic congestion and demolition of old Central Bristol all BCC fault. FACT Red Trousers and Marvelous Marvin all support (supported) Rovers New Stadium and the upgrade of the Mem.

Pretty certain that the Wales government is mostly Labour? The UK Government rejected Wrexham's bid for leveling up money.

I thought Wrexham had received funding of around €13M in the first round of bids and it was the second round of bids that was rejected. Mind you in the second round weren't they including the redevelopment of the football stadium.

Yep the Welsh government is and has been labour since devolution and a right cod's they've made of it, Wrexham is a labour Council Your right France they received funds in the first round not unsurprisingly as Wrexham is a very poor area, then included the stadium in round two which was rightly rejected, don't know what they were thinking of as the City needs massive regeneration, not funding to redevelop a stadium. So ,the Welsh government in its infinite wisdom then decided to utilise funds from Westminster by way of a grant, was it to stick two fingers up at Westminster,I can't possibly say. I just believe the money could have been far better used elsewhere as I have said before, particularly as the Health Board is in special measures and has been for the last 5/6 years and is close to not functioning at all . I would have this view whomever was in power as it's money that is badly needed elsewhere.

I'm beginning to wonder, with the stadium news and Joey's wish to sign squillions of new players, if this little project might have slipped down the 'To Do' list a bit.

The country is on its knees and 2 Hollywood multi millionaires are using tax payers money to build themselves a nice new stand. It just doesn't sit right with me. Shouldnt be allowed.

Probably the opposite is the case in N Wales where the two actors can't seem to do anything wrong. Although I think the club are contributing towards the stand costs the bulk of the Government being spent redeveloping the road network etc.
