If a planning application has already been submitted then why isn't it listed on BCC's planning portal?

Definitely a step forward. You wouldn't want to be sitting behind one of those supporting pillars though

Finally a tent free Mem, what a time to be alive.

Decent slope on it, loads more seats, no more stripey tent roof! Almost a moment to raise a glass

Looks decent šĀ That looks a very rough artistic impression. My interpretation:- Would assume that supporting pillars would be level with gangways so only a little shuffle for full view of pitch. Same height as West stand. Seats and roof are pretty much separate structures. Concourse a natural benefit of the space under the seats. Roof goes a bit further back so back row attendees don't get wet necks in the winter. Solid, fit for purpose. That'll do

Anybody know how concrete pad foundations work?
Would they help in this project?
Arena has very very recently acquired Stadium Solutions.
Good news for Gasheads.

I reckon the end section of seating where it doesnāt go back so far ( away terrace side) is where the scoreboard will be kept behind in the gap thatās left .

Wonder if they could replicate this at the Thatchers End, or even would we want to?

Will be delighted to see the tent monstrosities finally go but the supporting poles are a bit old hat. However, with the lack of any ground improvements for a million years it is great to see something finally. There are no pillars at Shrewsbury or Burton but guess our new stand will be only temporary.

By my 50th Gas anniversary we could finally build something that didn't require guy ropes. I don't dare to believe it
Just need a good autumn storm to take out the ever decaying centenary stand and we could whack one up there too

Anybody know how concrete pad foundations work? Would they help in this project? Arena has very very recently acquired Stadium Solutions. Good news for Gasheads. UTG. UTG. UTG. Concrete pads are basically cubes formed in the ground. The top of the concrete will be level with the terrain. That will give the steel erector a clean concrete face to bolt into.
