Surely you mean west stand? Yes sorry so excited getting the stands mixed up!! It happens. At least you didn't refer to the south stand as the east end for years which is what our neighbours did for many years 🤪

Obviously this is just the initial plans covering the main aspects of the build. What it shows is the stand runs the width of the pitch. It will be the height of the west stand. The scoreboard will be within the stand. The southwest stand can be no bigger as the west stand will block the view of most of the pitch. It will be big enough to help create a more enclosed feel to the stadium. On the next images (if we get any) it will be shown more how it will actually look. How does it show the scoreboard will be within the stand? It will be in the same place it is now near enough. The smaller section of seating on the left hand side (east side) will be in front of the scoreboard. The excercise is to put up an improved temporary stand . With a future move on the cards keeping the cost down would seem logical ,so dont move things if you dont have to. If the Tooty fruity plans fail then its likely the new temp stand would be rebuilt as a permanent stand in the future. Seeing the size and capacity it does imply a similar stand could be built along the whole west side of the pitch. Possibly holding 4000+ fans. However, due to the boxes,tv gantry and changing rooms being in the west stand its not likely to happen.

Why is a large piece of terrace next to the away terrace home to the Scottish and English flags and not fans? It can't be security reasons, surely?

Well I'm really happy with this, view from the Blackthorn End will be markedly improved by this and assuming the pitch gets moved that will improve our views and hopefully atmosphere too. Here's a couple of images to help visualise it, last one is from the Edinburg Rugy Stadium mentioned above and included to show how the pillars will affect the view (very little in my opinion and no worse than the Blackthorns pillars).

I'd hope the design is different than Edinburgh as that is pretty much what we already have. Not steep enough to fit in the limited space we have

After all the waiting, of course this dropped when I was absolutely battered in wales! Woke this morning with a brief recollection of a new stand. 1. Great news and ticks the boxes of no tent, loads more seats, accessible seating and full width and wrap around. 2. Cant wait. Hope we get it done for the start of the season. 3. Sorry but a little disappointed it has pillars

Looking at the propsed stand against the current tent, it certainly looks like tye pitch will be moved closer to the thachers end. Or at least the new stand will be very very close to the pitch!

Not steep enough to fit in the limited space we have Obviously going to be steeper than Edinburgh rugby club, their four stands hold 7800 and our new proposed L shape just below 4000. However the steelwork design will be very similar, the video and construction photos on Arenas site give you a very good perspective on what we will have.

Yep, think it'll be a very similar design but like you say a bit steeper. Fir an idea of the viewing experience, here's what it'll probably look like when watching a game... imgur.io/pI6222CWas hoping for something that looks a bit more 'permanent' as this looks like it'll be quite skeletal but can understand why the club doesn't want to splash out when the plan is to move. It'll improve the revenue for a minimal outlay which is a win in my book.

Moving the pitch towards filton avenue will it make the away terrace smaller and im sure it will make taking corners more difficult as the barriers will be near the goal line?

The concourse with the ability to serve food and drinks (possibly some other retail use?) is a big bonus.
Not sure if the away "fanzone" area is still going to be used next season, but if not that provides extra car parking.
Apparently last week there were several car park season ticket holders who again could not access the car park as it was already full up.

Were do people think the stand will come in relation to the East Side?. I understand the smaller south west stand on the west. Will this stand (East Side) replace the scoreboard ?. One forum user said " it will be slightly smaller on the East and will be built around scoreboard ?. Or do it stay as it is now with a huge gap ?. So we have 3 options 1). Stand right to away corner flag cancelling out scoreboard. 2) stand lowered to East to incorporate scoreboard 3) stand built as in situ with huge gap to East Side. Would be grateful for any suggestions.

Just noticed if you go on the club’s ticketing site & click on buy season- tickets, the new stands seating plan has been added.

Great upgrade but looking at the stand on ticket website it does not go the full length of pitch, does this mean there’s even more room for further blocks to be added, still great work by the wael and team

Is it option 1 2 3 ? ( see my last comment). Judging by your analysis it could be option 3 ?.

I must admit I have been sceptical about anything happening but this is fantastic news. Well done Wael. After years of nothing we are finally going to make an improvement to the mem. Concourse as well. Let's hope it leads to improved attendance. Best thing to happen infrastructure wise since we bought the ground. Let's hope it all runs to schedule to get it installed for the beginning of next season.

Support posts that thin aren't really going to spoil the view, Just a little shuffle in the seat. A few people may moan it's just a bigger tent. Don't care what it is, 3000 seats behind the goal with cover is good news
