Right what you have all been waiting for, I have been counting the dots!! So number of seats in what was the old SW stand 338 (compared to about 360 previously). Seats in the the new corner area 125. A further 277 seats in the first section of the new South stand are currently available to purchase for S/T’s. So in total at present 740 seats available for S/T’s. The remaining 5 sections in the South Stand equate to about 2,200 seats. A further section will only be released for S/T sales once all the other seats in SW, corner and first section have been sold. In essence we have nearly 3,000 seats, approximately double what we had before. If our EFL agreed capacity figure is 10,500, plus the additional 1,500 created by this development, then our capacity will increase to 12,000. The most important bit is the increased level of seating available for both home and away supporters. I have done this quite quickly so hopefully all the figures are right. I did this on 17th but stated just shy of 3400. Didn't want to admit counting them 🤪. 3392 by my abacus

Hope it looks decent but can’t argue with the investment.

I'm sure discussions have been had, officials have been schmoozed, and documents have been checked and rechecked, and I'm sure the council planners will recommend approval, but what happens if something goes wrong on the day of approval and the application is rejected?

I assume we re-erect the tents whilst we consider an appeal? It'll be interesting to see what objections we receive once the plans eventually go live, as the planners will have to consider any objections they receive when they come to consider the application.

We could challenge others to calculate the numbers of seats!!

If we sale enough season tickets in the South Stand we can limit the numbers left for away fans, although obviously more than what we used to allocate to away teams. We are over reliant on doing better when we attack the Thatchers End. As I stated before this will result in a better more supporting atmosphere for the team when attacking this end of the ground.

Attachment DeletedSome clubs down here have been given grants from various Bodies for Floodlights, new changing rooms and stands etc.Assume we explored if we were entitled to anything? Down here Honiton and even tiny Mullion who must be the most southerly mainland team have new lights.

If we could get enough noisy singers in this then we could end up with two "home" ends, and I wouldn't get anxiety if we weren't playing towards the Thatchers in the second half. could be like the old days at Twerton where we used to sing Gerry Francis blue and white army and vice versa

Regarding drums, is there an alternative instrument that's not annoying. Unless you add a cymbal to it and everytime a player miskicks, skys one or falls over. Bedum, tsss
