From these photos its interesting the drainage slit trenches stop short of the grass area! Suggesting perhaps the stand is moving forward to that point and be paved for spectator access? Also the proposed lower roof in the corner is I take it to allow the light from the existing flood lighting to illuminate the playing area of the pitch in front of the new stand? Also the foreshortened away stand to the left is to accommodate the steps from the old entry/exit gates?

Isn't that the present "dead" area behind the goal line so doesn't need the same drainage as the main pitch? There's still no signs of the TV screen being taken down, even though TG suggested on Twitter that the new stand is going to cover the entire south end.

The existing screen is definitely being taken down and replaced as the club have advertised its availability on LinkedIn! uk.linkedin.com/company/bristol-rovers-fc?trk=organization_guest_main-feed-card_feed-actor-name

Crikey - it doesn't work properly! The post does say "take it off our hands" rather then if anbody wants to purchase it, although Linkedin seems an odd place to me to advertise it's available. If the south stand is going the full width of the south end why does the 3D model only seem to cover 3/4's of the pitch?

The one I've seen shows it goes quite close to the away terrace and floodlight.

This one: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-rovers-new-south-stand-8398066There still seems a big gap to me but perhaps that's needed for sight lines for the fans on the terracing. Hopefully the full plans will appear on the planning portal later this week if plans went in a couple of weeks ago.

As long as the improvements don’t include fixing the speaker on the east stand directly above the gents toilets. Really love the painful noises that gives out.

Ooh. That’s changed from the initial ticket map. Looks more like the 3d mock up and in line with TGs comments.

Glad to see this update, was worried the stand was going to be a dissapointment and not full width, now very excited for it. Will improve the look of the ground and massively improve the atmosphere. Thatchers gonna have to step up when there are 2500 away fans to compete with!
However....
If I was looking to get a season ticket I'd be disappointed. Currently the only option is right in the corner in stand F. Surely the worse seated view in the ground? Blocks B to E rightly being kept flexible. Unsuprisingly not many have been bought yet, people probably waiting for at least stand E to become available for home season tickets.
Idea... Why not (if TM can handle it) allow a "paired Season Ticktet" option. where you select a seat in F and one in C. If C is avilable for home fans, you get that one and your F seat becomes available to buy. If not, you sit in the F seat. Win win?? Otherwise can see a lot of people preferring to pay per match and then not be able to attend as many games due to the cost.
Or am I overthinking it!

I think that’s a great idea, however I reckon it’s too much potential hassle for us / Ticketdisaster to keep on top of. Definitely a decent shout though.

I can only say that i have been in the south stand but only with my niece as she has kids and likes to sit with them or when i have had no other choice. I really felt it was the worst of places i have watched from, maybe with it going higher, that will change

This Meccano stand behind a goal with pillars that people are getting excited about isn't going to attract me back to the ground. Parking will still be abysmal. I'll stick to iFollow.
