Isn't that just the issue generally with seats behind the goal, hence why most away fans spend virtually the whole game standing up? This Meccano stand behind a goal with pillars that people are getting excited about isn't going to attract me back to the ground. Parking will still be abysmal. I'll stick to iFollow. I’ve never understood the whole ‘parking around the Mem is horrendous’ stuff. ’ I’ve been a ST holder for over 10 years and whenever I drive I can near enough park in the same spot each week no more than 10 mins walk to the Mem.

Same.
I always park at the top of Filton Ave and walk down.
Of course, if you get there 15 mins before KO it will be abysmal but that’s just paying the price for not being early enough.

Isn't that the present "dead" area behind the goal line so doesn't need the same drainage as the main pitch? There's still no signs of the TV screen being taken down, even though TG suggested on Twitter that the new stand is going to cover the entire south end. The existing screen is definitely being taken down and replaced as the club have advertised its availability on LinkedIn! uk.linkedin.com/company/bristol-rovers-fc?trk=organization_guest_main-feed-card_feed-actor-nameThinking of putting in a bid for this and installing it at the bottom of my garden so I can watch the iFollow games on a decent sized screen .

Glad to see this update, was worried the stand was going to be a dissapointment and not full width, now very excited for it. Will improve the look of the ground and massively improve the atmosphere. Thatchers gonna have to step up when there are 2500 away fans to compete with! However.... If I was looking to get a season ticket I'd be disappointed. Currently the only option is right in the corner in stand F. Surely the worse seated view in the ground? Blocks B to E rightly being kept flexible. Unsuprisingly not many have been bought yet, people probably waiting for at least stand E to become available for home season tickets. Idea... Why not (if TM can handle it) allow a "paired Season Ticktet" option. where you select a seat in F and one in C. If C is avilable for home fans, you get that one and your F seat becomes available to buy. If not, you sit in the F seat. Win win?? Otherwise can see a lot of people preferring to pay per match and then not be able to attend as many games due to the cost. Or am I overthinking it! Some fans might like the new corner seating. Panoramic view of the ground with decent views of both goals. The South/SW stand will be a lot more sheltered from the weather (unlike the 3/4 front rows of the East Stand). 6 of us have renewed our S/T’s in the SW area. So far 408 S/T have been sold in the SW/Corner/first section of South Stand, out of the 740 available.

Park near HSBC Bank and walk.Never a problem. The one on Glos Rd N/Bremar Ave? That's a bit of a hike when you can usually get a lot closer.

Getting back to M5 takes yonks in the traffic so far better for me to park there as I get away quicker.Nice walk and always good to be back in the Big City where I only visit now on match days. Thanks for your concern. When I bring a disabled guy sometimes I always manage to park much nearer so not a problem for me.

I can only say that i have been in the south stand but only with my niece as she has kids and likes to sit with them or when i have had no other choice. I really felt it was the worst of places i have watched from, maybe with it going higher, that will change Isn't that just the issue generally with seats behind the goal, hence why most away fans spend virtually the whole game standing up? Probably. There had been occasions where i did not go because the only available place was the south stand. If i didn’t have to wear goggles then i suspect i could see the game better but it gets really difficult, for me anyway , to see what is going on, around 2/3 up the pitch

So good to see season tickets already sold, but would imagine more would be tempted if and when more central blocks become available

Unless someone has been messing around with the colour of the dots, it looks as though nearly 500 season tickets have been sold for the SW, corner and 1st section of the South Stand.

At this rate we'll sell out before the plans are uploaded to the planning portal.

Just hope it gets built and is ready for the start of the season. We have until Saturday 12th August. That's just over two months away. Not a chance, in my opinion. But I've been wrong about other things. If it's pretty much a prefabricated metal thinggummy then maybe, but there's the foundations, whatever they might be, water/waste disposal, electricals, fitting out all the seats, the concourse, and all the other things I haven't thought of. Oh yes. Planning permission. Nearly forgot that.

Oh yes. Planning permission. Nearly forgot that. Just for some context on stand construction (and I'm talking basic stands like the south/South-west stand which needs foundations, risers, seats, lighting and a roof but no corporate facilities), when AFC Wimbledon were building the ends of New Plough lane they started steel/concrete work on July 21st 2020 and the whole structure (including the roof) was complete by Sept 25th (eight weeks). They weren't pushing it as they were still working on all four sides of the ground at the same time so you could guess they might have been able to do it in six weeks if they needed to.
