One thing we might have to worry about is if the cost of living doesn't come down in the next few years. It's already £25 for an adult to stand on the terrace for a Category A game. Imagine in a new all seater stadium, it could be £30+. Promotion would probably see that rise again It be interesting to see what the attendance is on Tuesady night with tickets starting at £25 for adults plus the same v Derby tommorow . If we sell out both it fully justifies restricting away allocation. However if we fall short then these tickets could of gone to Wednesdays fans. What is clear is that we are losing BIG money on away teams and one of the criteria for a new south stand is a business model. I am convinced Derby Wednesday Bolton would of brought 3000 plus at least another 4-6 teams. I noticed there are plenty of tickets left for Tuesday at the moment. We need to make sure we sell our 8 or 9k if away are bringing that many. Look at MK Dons home record when they are almost outnumbered every week!

But the club must also balance the books and this is one way of reducing debt. What would we rather have 8500 -9000 or 1200 plus ?. An increased capacity ( south stand ) will increase profits: give home fans more seats and allow huge away followings . And if home fans can't afford Cat A games in quick succession then fill the south stand up with away fans and charge them £30 .

I'm not sure about this.

I'm not sure about this. Definitely improves the atmosphere. Who remembers Leeds at the Mem , they were very loud and it made for good atmosphere. The fact they were on a roll at the time and battered us probably helped !

You believe more away fans improves away performance? I'm not sure about this. Yes of course I'm sure this is one of those where there are countless examples to prove the point either way. I dont think so though. Away performance and results are driven by how good the team is, and the tactics. Does a large vocal support help? Maybe, but not as much as what supporters would like to think imo. A large crowd can often be to the detriment of the teams performance too.

The best v Leeds is when they packed the south stand : away terrace and had pockets of fans in almost every part of the ground plus outside . Jo Kuffour scored a screamer right in the top corner of the south stand in the dying seconds .
