Didn't go or watch today but from the bits I heard on Radio Bristol, it seems he had another good game.
I was impressed v Charlton as well. He is still a young pup in his first season so he has done well overall.
I still think it might be worth experimenting with him playing further forward as he has great first touch, a fair bit of pace and great centre of balance.
It annoys me when he beats his man and finds space on the wing but then turns inside or back. I'm not sure that's what he is instructed to do, or if he is thinking about his defensive responsibilities.
Either way with a bit of freedom, I think he could be very creative.

Had a decent game against Charlton. Sometimes you have to accept that the winger will get a cross in. Just don't get beaten on the inside and force them wide and either give away a corner or rely on the centre backs to pick up the cross.

Made his league debut for us back in August 2022.
Appeared in 38 games now.
Booked only 3 times.
An absolutely fantastic first season in the professional ranks.
Long term he may well have another position up his sleeve.
Meanwhile, as left back or left wing back, he is a joy to watch.

Gave away a needless corner in build up to their goal. Other than that he had a decent game.

So much positivity around our club and still got Rossiter to return ,hopefully before the end of the season.

Has the odd dodgey game of course but has generally been very good and will surely get better.
He’s like Hoole last year in that this is his first season playing professional football and to be playing so well at league 1 level is a fantastic achievement by him and the coaching staff.
We must have had the youngest back line in our history over the last 2 seasons but we’ve got real quality and great potential in there.
It would be great if we could sign one of the loans in the summer like we did with connelly too.

So much positivity around our club and still got Rossiter to return ,hopefully before the end of the season. Rossiter’s a quality player but whatever we do, we can’t expect him to play a full season, going by his previous record. We need back up for him and to replace Coutts. I hope we sign Ward but his injury record isn’t the best either so centre midfield still a bit of a worry. |

He’s a bit Haldane at the moment. All pace and passing but no final ball.

Another excellent performance,pity he slipped in the penalty area after showing great feet and composure to beat the oncoming defender.

Needs to strengthen a bit for me as he got knocked off the ball easily in the first half and gave possession away in a dangerous area, but ive said before he has a lot of potential, similar to Bola who we should also have taken a chance on. |

Never understood why we didn’t go in for Bola.
Iirc he was out of contract that summer and available on a free when we were desperate for a full back.
Went to Blackpool who sold him to Boro a year later.
