Quite bizarre after two years of beautiful Barton Ball everything on the deck and plenty of success playing this way, you still get that sense of annoyance/angst from the terraces that we don’t blast it up the pitch at every single opportunity. Which In the main absolutely does not work, least of all against experienced quality defenders. There is blasting it up the pitch aimlessly and there’s playing with high tempo and attacking teams with it in a controlled manor. First 5 minutes of the second half we went at them high tempo and scored. After that we reverted to sideways low tempo. |

Like you say when we changed up we were effective. |

In our last nine home matches we have taken six points from a possible 27. One win three draws and five defeats scoring just four goals and conceding 11. The draws were against three promotion chasing clubs Ipswich Barnsley & Derby. Just thank goodness we have eight away victories. We we win at Port Vale Plymouth Peterborough & Shrewsbury ? I expect a win at Vale Park. Ending with the Bolton home game which we could draw? Apparently a vocal support helps.. |

I thought we deserved a point, Sheff Weds we’re disappointing I expected more. Their main threat was from long throw ins 🤷♂️, very poor really. It’s a shame we gifted them 2 goals as they were certainly there for the taking.
Oh well let’s stuff Vale on Saturday, feck them and feck the snake! UTG!

Very frustrating evening, didn't think the owls are very good at this moment in time. Same old issues, very soft goals conceded, Quansah responsibile for both, first gave the ball away, second had to head the ball away from the corner, instead headed the ball into the air putting us under pressure. If the lad wants to be a central defender he needs to learn to head the ball, although he was up against an absolute lump. Connolly very unlucky to be substituted, thought he played quite well, as with Loft. Went more direct second half but with Loft off the pitch lost our aireal threat, Coburn wins nothing in the air.
On the flip side, knocked the ball around OK, unlucky not to equalise, not much between the teams bar the mistakes.

They aren’t as good as the sides above them and they have played a game more. I think they will struggle in the play offs too. It’s not often that the side that misses out on autos goes up through the play offs, other than us of course!

I’m sure I’ve heard that about a centre back before. Oh yeah - Tom Lockyer. Wonder whatever happened to him 🤣 Quansah who plays for England? Right, got it 🤣 There was no need to bring him back last night, as we have done fine without him, and Joey took the wrong man off last night. Quansah was dreadful and Connolly was doing o.k. The Liverpool lad has done nothing since being here to make me feel as though we have signed a decent player. |

The biggest mouthpiece of them all even commented how it’s never any good playing that “Tiki Taka” s**t, just get it up there. Literally the exact way we’ve played for the last 2 seasons🤦🏻 |
