The SC sponsored Elliott last season and are raffling his signed shirt to raise funds for Southmead Hospital Charity.
Mods can you add links, alternatively, check out the SC website.
It costs £5 with a signed Player of the Year programme from last season, as a runners up prize.
A great chance to get your hands on two very rare special momentos from an unbelievable season.
The last day to buy tickets is 7 May.
Please spread the word to anyone who would be interested in purchasing a ticket for a very worthwhile cause.
Thanks.

Just a reminder regarding this.
Just imagine if our best ever loan signing was here for the whole of this season?
He was that good and created so much space for other players, do you think we could have been in the play offs?

He was that good and created so much space for other players, do you think we could have been in the play offs? More than likely as he was just so good and will probably get even better. What chances him playing in Europe next season? Elliott was often marked by two players which gave Whelan the space to take two touches and look up and pick a pass, Connolly the space to move into and give Finley and Evo a chance to take the ball into shooting areas before they were closed down. Looking at those players now, they look shadows of the players they were last season as opponents now have a "quick press" instead of being outnumbered last season. I don't think it is a coincidence that this has happened since Elliott left. We probably would have won around at least ten more free kicks around the edge of the area, which would have given Evo note chances to score/ get a bit of confidence.

With how the draw works it’s not really enticing to buy a ticket. If I buy one now I’m 216, if 216 gets selected and then 72 gets selected 72 will win the shirt and I’d get a programme. Effectively buying a ticket at this point means you’re paying £5 to potentially win a programme.

Yes, perhaps having the higher number win the top price would mean a rush of purchases at the end and therefore more money for charity? Or just have the first number selected win the top prize to keep it simple. Anyway, I have bought quite a few tickets, fingers crossed.

Raffles are usually first ticket drawn wins the big prize, so everybody has an equal chance - I think they've lost an opportunity to raise more money by going down the route they have.

I have been to events where the draw is made in reverse order with the best prize being drawn last - I am sure we have all been there where the first couple of prizes are really good and the next few are just consolation prizes. This can lead to people losing interest and not even claim the last few prizes. (Didn't it always seem to be an Alan Titchmarsh novel, a reed difuser, or a Corry "special" video?)
At the end of the day it is for charity and the winners are drawn just down to pure luck, whichever way they do it.
If it raises over a grand, well done I say. Our job is to just keep plugging it and letting other non forum users or programme purchasers know

Would have sold more in my opinion if it was done another way.

Think the charity will lose out now as anyone thinking of getting a ticket now will be put off. What's wrong with a straight forward raffle.

To be fair to MB it does seem an odd way to do a draw, why not just have first out gets the shirt, second out gets the program, why complicate matters, as how gutted would you be if 216 is pulled out first then 76 is pulled out next to steal your shirt!
