Ref has his big day in the sun. Big crowd, promotion party and Barton the villain. Big day for him to join in the celebrations and not let the game get in the way of the event. As said, penalty incoming. Ref will be the centre of attention and give the crowd what they want, cock Or why can't JB just keep his mouth shut until at least the final whistle? Two stupid challenges from Evans in the middle third of the pitch absolutely brainless.
I’d like to say we’ve defended well since but tbf they’ve had a few chances where we defended like statues.
Belshaw Gas man of match so far.

Weak reffing.
TV replay is unclear on pen or not but the clear that it was either a pen or dive... so yellow or pen.
On the two fouls. Soft for two yellows. Add a derby- farcical. That said Evans needs to be smarter having got a yellow earlier.

Plus why do we always seem to have players sent for two cheap reds, just from memory that's Sincs, Antony and McCormick in the last few seasons. |

Well we got to the break just about intact…
One or two though still in Port Vale mode … Gibson has lost his man three times tonight and each time they have fluffed the header. - Woeful.
Nothing again of value from Collins …
We need Bogarde - Finley and Ward to get into the game …
Not sure who on the bench could make a positive impact …

Belshaw Gas man of match so far. Take another look at the second yellow. Mayor was in the air well before Evans challenge. I can see why it was given, but looked mighty like simulation to me. Ironic given the ref didn't give the Collins penalty a few minutes early.
We'll get nothing from this ref.

Because you quoted a post that detailed how the ref has unquestionably gone full Plymouth fan tonight & suggested the fact JB talks a lot is the reason for it? Anything involving Collins in the box is never getting given, his reputation is set in stone and even worse at diving than the Snake & Jermaine Easter. Which takes some doing. |

Can’t see anyone praising Belshaw on here who has kept us in it ?
Barton doesn’t rate him and many in here don’t either which I think is a shame.
I don’t think he’ll be here next season.
