The amount of games he’s started as a sub or been brought off early this season suggests he’s been nowhere near last season’s level. Was in the first XI every week last season when fit. Sure he’ll get back to it next season. He’s a good player, gives his all, stupid yellow card or not, I’d rather Evans over a Matt Gill, Craig Stanley or Justin Skinner. That's a pretty low bar you've set! Personally I wouldn't be disappointed if JB announced we're prepared to listen to offers for Evans and McCormick, as if we want to compete at Piymouth's level neither are good enough.

What are Evans's strengths this season?

2 games in a row without a shot on target is pretty woeful!

Loft's touch as per usual is horrific and his hold up play awful. Need better than him at this level.

What are Evans's strengths this season? Last season's reputation? If JB had signed him in the summer we'd all be saying what a poor signing he'd been.

Maybe unfair to call it dreadful because the games pretty much gone against these once we go down to 10 men. To be fair though I felt it was right to put Gibbo against their 17 with hoole doubling up, that basically shut him down as an outlet…. But the goals were poor to concede, it’s not like we were cut open for them and the one chance we get falls to a full back instead of say Marquis. I think we need to look at the 2 daft challenges from evans that have cost us tonight.

What are Evans's strengths this season? Tackling. Genuinely, the stats suggest he’s been one of our most effective tacklers this season. The problem is, Finley, Bogarde, Rossiter & Ward are/were in the midfield to do the tackling. Evans is there to be the ‘moments’ man and provide the creativity. It’s great he’s improved his ball-winning, but without the magic to go with it he’s just another piano carrier where as we need him to play it.

Always going to be difficult tonight, but became impossible after the stupid red card. Defending for the goals suspect, but at least they didn’t give up and overall a big effort from the players left on the pitch.

Fourth meeting between the two sides this season.
Argyle have scored TWO goals in each game.
Their loanees make more impact on games than ours.
This match highlights our failings.
Plymouth are miles better than us.
We lack creativity and composure.
Next fixture please.

Lucky it was only 2-0, we are way off the mark required at this level. To many loan players who are not good enough and far too many players of league 2 standard. Just not good enough, thank goodness we got the points when we did, sooner it’s over the better and hope JB can muster a team capable of playing in the top half of league 1. Any dreams of getting into the Championship are just that - dreams.
