Thought we played alright today, deserved a point for sure. However it was a summary of our season, Bolton scored pretty much every chance they had while we missed endless chances. Lots of work to do in the summer but I have faith/trust in Barton to improve us. I think people talking about play offs is a bit too early, top half would be good progress next season imoI dont know, we have played all 4 of the play off teams fairly recently and I cant say I was that impressed with any of them

Barton has a big (again) recruitment period coming up. Anyone have any confidence that he can improve on the last two periods?

But we never won a game and almost never scored

There have been thin margins in many matches and if we stop a few and start putting in our chances we’ll do fine next season.

JB's simply got to do better than Quansah this summer. he will end up non league. The lion in wizard of oz has a bigger heart. Scared of anything near his head. Really hope he does not want to come back

But there’s fans who think he’s a better keeper than Balcombe 🙄 Which fans think Balcombe's a better keeper? If Belshaw isn’t the answer (which is fair enough) then Balcombe certainly isn’t the solution to that problem. A number 2 at best.

But you are right in principle of course, if we concede less and score more will definitely win games 🥸

They may not have played better football, but the quality of players they have is so much higher - as proven today. If Barton can attract that quality in, then sure, but I dont think we have the ability to do so yet

As many have been saying story of the season. But you won’t let that one sink in because you’re on a downer again. Must be disappointed we stayed up and had a season of consolidation.

Anyone have any confidence that he can improve on the last two periods? Well what has he done in the transfer market to date for you to believe we won't improve? Turn that on its head, it should be easy. For EG 1. Don't sign players that are injured, to a degree that our first choice team is not available until two months of the season has elapsed 2. Don't sign players who have a record of not lasting a season through recurrent Injury issues. 3. Sign players that have the ability to play to his team set up and tactics OR change both.

Same old story, decent midfield and attack. Poor defence, desperately missing some leadership in the back line. You can't keep giving the soft goals away and expect to pick up points. I'm optimistic that signing some experience and a strong header of the ball and we are half way there.

That had to be at the lowest end of our hopes for this season and is nothing to celebrate, surely. Unless you thought we would be immediately relegated after last year (which I am sure you didn't)

Gas played alright Derby miss out on the play offs (humbled) MK Dons get relegated (superb)
Not a bad day all round😄
Madness that we could well be visiting Hillsborough as well as Pride Park again next season, with the Madjeski on top of that!

Unless you thought we would be immediately relegated after last year (which I am sure you didn't) I wanted us to finish higher but compare us to our cohort of teams promoted at the same time we’re marginally above PV, 3 behind Exeter, needn’t say any more than reference FGR. I’m a dreamer and I hope for the best each season. If we don’t aim for the playoffs at a minimum why bother. Of course I want us to repeat what we did back in 15/16 and achieve a double promotion. However we have to be realistic and as a promoted side consolidation (which is anything above 21st) has to be taken for what it is.
