Tin hat on here, but a proven goalscorer and soon to be a free agent.
I'm not a fan of going back to old players normally but he'd do a job.

No, would have previously but past his best and likely to end up in league 2. Forest Green or Swindon I’d imagine

Not good enough for Oxford and barely played for Port Vale and at 33 I think he'll be dropping down a league

What job would he do? Bit of a naff thread as stated elsewhere, not good enough for Oxford or Vale so why suggest him to come back here.

Plymouth Argyle of contract, released: James Bolton, Conor Grant, Danny Mayor, Luke Jephcott, Adam Parkes, Ryan Law, Finley Craske, Brandon Pursall.
Mayor at 32 would still be a fantastic signing but wants to return home to Lancashire with his young family.
Luke Jephcott a striker age 23 pushed down starting place at Argyle this season and loaned to Swindon Town would be worth looking at ? He has plenty of league One and two experience.

He's not good enough anymore even if it weren't for the backstory.

Only hanging upside down from the Thatchers by his bootlaces. Wonder if he’s ever regretted leaving hero status for 5mins and a couple of appearances at our fierce rivals? I hear a lot about the money was too good to turn down, but no chance he’s retiring off it surely!

If he was still good enough I'd take him back. I can't be bothered about what happened six years ago.
But it seems he's past his best and probably no longer L1 level, so it's not really relevant.
