Let's ignore the lame language, but concentrate on this. "Why can't I respect somebody's view yet feel mine is superior?" Of course you, can anyone stop you? The problem is you provide zero evidence to back your opinion. YouTube clips, other than in jest, do not really count as evidence do they? YouTube clips of meetings between experts in Brussels? Ok, I'd say that's decent content but it's fine to disagree. Obviously stuck in your mind, as you wanted a thread shut down then you bring the same subject up again a week later, been on the beers today? if you want to talk it out face to face fine, I’d send you my number but you’d publish it on here, really not interested in your Covid flat earth conspiracies. Hence why I avoid this part of the forum.

Exactly Of course all the experts who developed a vaccine, all the health care professionals are not "experts" in this guy's mind. But search for a YouTube clip and suddenly the participants were "experts". Not a shred of empirical evidence to back up his "hoax" claims. I wonder if he gets his kids vaccinated against disease such as measels when he has that mindset? We need to know

A bit too subtle for some Stuart If that's yet another dig at me Oldie I know exactly what Stuart is saying. Come on France, absolutely it was not. Contrary to what you have said, I do not dislike you, I don't know you. I get the feeling that although we may disagree on many things, that conversation over a glass or two of red would be an interesting one. Take it easy

Take it easy I could be wrong, but I read France’s reply as joking/sarcastic. But we do need to have a serious talk about Chem trails

He is respectful of others views and contrary to the narrative being pushed here he isn't a conspiracy theorist or nut job either.

In which case he does not help himself by using the language of the American style conspiracy theorist, nor by stating that people have been "taken in" by what many of us consider to be the balance of evidence.

Funnily enough we have disagreed on Covid but I'd say his use of language is down to him being well travelled rather than being taken in by Conspiracy. I'm not totally convinced that we have seen the end of long term effects of the vaccinations though I do think they were probably necessary for the situation we were in at the time. Its not like world governments haven't been wrong in the past about the things that are good for us (I'm looking at you thalidomide) so it's probably too early for either side of the argument to claim they were right to believe their chosen experts. My stance on covid has changed from "they are definitely right" to "I think they were probably right" over the last year or two. I do have some regrets that I had my son vaccinated.

My stance on covid has changed from "they are definitely right" to "I think they were probably right" over the last year or two. I do have some regrets that I had my son vaccinated. The only "new" vaccine technique was the development of the MRNA style. If there is an issue with that then the thalidomide scandal will be dwarfed, given the 10's of millions that have had it. Plus, as I understand it, MRNA is the basis for most of new cancer fighting vaccines in development. Personally I think you are being to understanding of GH79. Being well travelled (if that is the case) should open your eyes to the stupidity of some governments and media, I am looking at you America, and teach you not to repeat blind, agenda based, speculation. As for vaccinating children, I hear you. I don't know what I would have done. But I am glad I was not in Singapore where my two 3 year old granddaughter were at the time. They were forced to have it or be barred from playgroups. The other end of stupidity.

I feel similarly except my stance has changed from 'I think they are probably right' to 'I think they might have got it wrong'. Hindsight speaking here, but isn't any analysis of what happened in the past based on hindsight? I went along with it all, vaccinations, facemasks and distancing, because none of us knew any better, including the government it now seems. The questions being asked about vaccine testing, efficacy and effects are worth considering, and the partial shutdown of the economy and people's lives based on flimsy evidence that it would become a deadly plague gives food for thought.

"The questions being asked about vaccine testing, efficacy and effects are worth considering"
Of course. Any new methodology or treatment is always subject to post implementation review. But that's a far cry from claiming it was all a hoax.
I agree that with hindsight the social restrictions may have been over played. But we didn't know, can you imagine the social consequences if an even larger number of over 60s had died, or children became more badly affected than they actually were. We didn't know, so we played safe, or tried to.

Yeah, they've had mmr jabs. I've already told you I've had loads of vaccines, so I'm unsure why you are questioning my mindset? Did you forget..

I am happy to be corrected if something different was written here but my recollection of conversations I had with GH79 was that he disagreed with mass enforced, untested vaccines and lock downs. I definitely don't remember him claiming Covid was a hoax. You'd have to be an idiot to think it didn't exist since nearly all of us either got it or knew someone that did. Most people that got it would also have confirmed it was a very nasty virus with particularly unpleasant symptoms. I'm not sure anyone (normal) denies Covid as being real.

The problem is, you can say lockdown and vaccines were unnecessary because it wasn't the deadly plague we were told it was going to be. But you could also say it wasn't the deadly plague we were told it would be because of lockdown and vaccines. We are never going to know if Oldie or GH79 were right but, as is usually the case in life, its probably a bit of both.

It's not about being absolutely right or wrong, it's about doing the best you can with the information available at the time you made a decision. Inferring I was coerced because I chose, on balance, to accept the prevailing medical opinion is just silly and a little insulting. But in the end, for me, the need by one member to raise issues around Covid and how messages were/are managed on this forum after we had all moved on betrays another motive.

But in the end, for me, the need by one member to raise issues around Covid and how messages were/are managed on this forum after we had all moved on betrays another motive. My initial post was to highlight an out of date message which is not replicated on the other forums I looked at. Your continued personal digs at me are mildly amusing though. I chose to believe and behave in a way based on the information we were given also. Difference being I used my brain and exercised caution towards messaging that I was suspicious of from the outset.(i also did not panic-buy bog rolls or fuel) Once I noticed it, the rest was semi predictable. More than happy with criticism. I have no conscience or concerns surrounding your accusations, which from my perspective ARE based on fear, coercion, and ultimately cash. You can continue fishing me for bites if you wish, whilst acknowledging that your decisions were based on the information available at the time.(What you and all of us were fed, some chose to take it, others did not) Either way, the pinned message is out of date, same as the yellow 2m circles still randomly stuck on shop floors and people wearing masks.. Hope this has given you something to occupy your time🥱
