City seem to be getting 'business done early'...decent players too unfortunately

Plenty of whinging on here about the lack of signings.
Post reports only six signings made by all of the league one clubs so far and three of them by Stevenage.
That would suggest we’re hardly dragging our feet.

I dont understand why people are worried. Joseph promised us 12 signings, so far we've had 4 (Grant, Ward, Greenslade and now Jones).
I'm expecting 5 loan signings. Thats only 3 more to go.

Anyone know what - Getting business done early means? Appreciate the window hasn’t officially opened yet but other than resigning our own there doesn’t seem to be a lot happening. Maybe Jennings hasn’t got WI-Fi on his saga cruise? I thought ‘ Gide’ would mean players through the door for Day One of preseason ? That’s about 20 days away. The 12 needed I am guesstimating is now 10 as surely Harvey isn’t the missing top six link. Five on loan - later in the window because as we all know that’s where the value is and therefore five more over the next three weeks ? Serious question though when is the deadline for getting things done ‘early’ I think we can agree we havent got it done early. Lets hope we actually get something done pre-preseason. Silence is frustrating right now. Know i shouldnt care, |

I suppose it all depends on what you mean by “getting business done early”?
I imagine there will be those who are panicking uncontrollably because we’re 5 days into the transfer window and haven’t yet signed a complete new team.
My own personal opinion (for what it’s worth) is that we will probably see some new faces by the end of this week, hopefully followed by some more next week (pre-season starts on Monday 26th, I believe), giving us the bulk of the squad; then possibly 1 or 2 more after that as terms are finalised with any hold-outs.
