There's zero evidence from the court reporting racism was a factor in this case. If posters want to continue raising that as an issue then post a link to where it was mentioned during this week's hearing, or simply accept it was never raised by Brown's brief during the hearing. So Jevani Browns lying is he? Do you honestly think straight after the hearing that somebody would just make that up? I'm pretty sure the Police, judges, lawyers would have something to say about it wouldn't you? Do you honestly think Brown's legal team wouldn't have use it in mitigation if he could prove it occurred? If he can't prove it occurred then it just remains a possibility not something proven in court. I doubt the police etc have any interest in what JB Tweets now they've got their conviction and the women their compensation payments. |

I think it is time to lock this thread,surely everyone has said what they think by now,time to agree or disagree and move on. Why? Has someone complained to the mods? Or are some offended by the notion of free speech and the discussion of sensitive subjects? In actual fact yes we've had plenty of reported posts over the last 36 hours or so. The problem is not discussion of the matter it's the manner in which it is discussed. Today the tone is a lot better but if it went back to how it was yesterday with personal insults been chucked around left, right and centre, then the moderator team will need to make a decision on if we lock the thread or not. |

He may have pleaded guilty under advice of his solicitor just to get the trial over and done with so he could move on hence why certain things were not brought up |

Think we have added lot more creativity in the squad with the addition of Brown and Thomas we already know what Collins brings to the table Brown was up there with the assists until he sas suspended by Exeter it will be interesting to see who Joey brings in next. Also the addition of Wilson and Friend brings experience defenders which has been lacking since Craig left |

As I've mentioned a few times already, if supporters are fully behind Football Clubs still deciding to take the knee, and are happy to support Kick It Out, Say No To Racism or any other anti racism campaigns being promoted throughout the game, but at the same time vilify a Footballer who has been on the receiving end of it, doesn't make any sense to me. It doesn't mean his actions should be without punishment either, which they haven't been, but surely you can understand his reaction? Otherwise it's just worthless pandering and fake gestures But, is that not advocating acceptance of taking the law into their own hands? I can understand totally becoming angry when subject to racism but to react in a way that provokes the authorities to prosecute is doubling down, is it not?Are you BME? Have you been frequently racially abused? |
