Excellent van on the trading estate in Brislington, but not sure if it opens Sunday ?
Best ever is the Megabeast at the Uplands Diner in Swansea if you really want to travel. Serves all day so you can try it before the pre season friendly if you like.

I’m no connoisseur in a greasy fried breakfast myself, but when I have had them to me they’re all much of the same. Can’t really gauge between what’s a good one and a bad one, unless it’s down to plate volume.
Happy hunting though😄

The fountain opposite St Georges library is always decent.
Also Top Nosh Kingswood way is very good.
Must have tried most of the greasy spoons in Bristol based purely on Sunday morning football getting cancelled when we'd already turned up!

Happy hunting though😄 Criteria for me is a) the establishment must recognise that fried bread is part of the fry-up and b) baked beans are optional not compulsory. When I was a kid poring over the Sunday papers to see how Jarman, the Joneses, Graydon, Stubbs and co had handed the visitors their backsides, accompanied by a plate of bacon, eggs and fried bread as the sound of the church bells rang out was an ideal start to the day!

I went there on the morning of my wedding for my 'condemned man's last meal'. Very surreal with 7 men dressed up in wedding atire suddenly decent on the local greasy spoon armed with tea towels trying not to get grease and sauce down their shirts. 🫣

Depends what you want. If you don’t mind cheapy sausages, non free range eggs etc then there are tons of choices.
If you like quality ingredients, proper sausages etc then I can recommend Flourish - it’s not quite Bristol, it’s on the A4 just past waitrose after keynsham. You can be at least be guaranteed the sausage isn’t 30% crushed up bone with red food die, and the eggs came from an animal not suspended in a torture chamber. You may think this is weird coming from the forum’s arch anti-woke capitalist but I’ve worked in a battery chicken farm and trust me, you would not eat any non free range chicken if you’d seen them. They look disgusting, and they live a horrific life of suffering.
I think animal welfare is like one of those things that we look back on now - domestic violence, open racism etc was brushed under the carpet 50 years ago, but now it’s just standard that it’s wrong. I think in 50 years we will look back at battery chickens in the same way.

This question is 35 years late. Monte Carlo Cafe by the supporters club on Stapleton road just before catching coach to an away game Chef likely to be smoking so if carrying more than one fry up you were likely to get some ash dropped in it from the cigarette clinging to his bottom lip. Pin ball machine hogged by a local. Good healthy start to the day when a teenager
