That could be a good call, not only a different voice but also getting Manger familiar with doing the interviews. I guess this year AM needs a full pre-season as well to get him ready for running the entire show for 3 matches. Is JB’s ban just a touch line ban where he can still call all the shots or is it a complete stadium ban where he’s not allowed any communication? Unless they hide him in the laundry basket and sneak him in like Mourinho?! Stadium ban apparently. Just give him a fake tash and speak in a dodgy French accent (again)... |

Scraped through in the end, Marquis and Loft Hopeless again, they can not paly together! Azza for me having a really poor pre-season, spent most of the game shrugging his shoulders and moaning at others when his passing and final product was all half hearted! Looks like his mind is somewhere else. LT struggled and the Subs when came on were told to keep the Ball and not play forwards until pressed! Thought there No. 25 Peart-Harris was the best player on the Pitch but was part of Forest Green season on loan last season. Their Number 9 is a unit but did very little all game so i wouldn't be rushing out for his signature! Injuries are an issue, Gibbons could be out for quite a while, and Rumour is Macca has not flown to Portugal!? as for Grant his Groin is still playing up and Gordon still not recovered from a know and has not featured all pre season! |

Agree with most of that but a little harsh on Collins. He kept trying but didnt really come off for him, had 3 (or more) chances that were saved by the keepers legs. At least one he should have put away.
I said earlier, I dont understand why we play with 2 wingers and 2 10s, then try and play 2 No9s together in the 2nd half!
Get JM up front and move Luke to the B team. Time for Loft to be sold/loaned out.

Get JM up front and move Luke to the B team. Time for Loft to be sold/loaned out. I totally agree with Loft, he has had plenty of chances and he just isnt technically good enough. Maybe a drop down in league for a season and try and get some confidence but he is not the answer! You may be right on Collins but its just his whole demeanour. His shots were Lame, his passing off and he was always looking to blame someone else. I thought J Brown looked decent with some good touches and build up play, someone like Marquis playing off him may work. It was massively evident that Mr Barton is trying to get Friend and Sinclair Working together and building up a relation ship down the right hand side and I think this could be good going forwards. |

I thought that Collins was clearly the least effective of the front players although his style of play did create space for Brown, Sinclair and Thomas to move into. Definitely think that we need Marquis up front to bully the opposing defenders as the rest of the front line are not so physical. If Loft can find the form that he showed last Autumn then we have an excellent back-up option. Thought that Ward did ok in the Coutts role. In the back four Friend was solid but was not very effective attacking wise. Wilson was not as dominant in the air as I thought that he would be but still an upgrade in this league on the Liverpool loanee. Agree that Marquis and Loft can not play together and that on the day Loft was very poor. None of the youngsters who came on appeared to be close to first team standard although as Mangan mentioned they did try and play in the same manner as the more senior players. |

Yes Marquis has to be given a tart maybe a lone Striker with the Sinclair, Collins, Brown Behind, would be good to see what he can do with that level of service. Agree with the youngsters coming on, But Apart from Jerry, most playing miles out of Position With Barton saying to Greenslade and Jones ( 2 attacking players, playing left and right back) to just sit and do a job for the team so not sure what they are learning from that. The others are all very young 15,16 &17. So they are bound to be a bit wanting at the moment but good to get them involved and get some experience. After watching LT, I can See Jones or Greenslade being more effective than him down the right on current form. |

I really like Peart-Harris. Think hes a cracking little player. Wouldnt mind him here at all. |
