New Bristol live guy saying Luke his motm. Pleased as he looked least effective in previous games I saw. We’re going up. That is just his opinion, for me Jones has been superb since coming on at half time so he is mine, Cox and Tristan have done well too A good game, good run out for the lads and lots of positives on display 👍🏾 |

Still think we need a striker and a creative midfielder ... Then we might just surprise a few of the so called experts We’ve got shed loads of strikers what we need is an experienced ball winning midfielder if we can’t get that then an energetic young ball winner will do. I’d have bogarde from last season back. And some more pace out wide. |

I do hope that JM to Gills rumour was just forum bs. We looked so much better with him as the focal point. His nous won us several pressure relieving free kicks too. Agree with others that Jones and Thomas were amongst our better players but also that Azza had a strong second half working mainly on the left.

This is the only mention of JM I can find on the Gill's forums; "I wonder if we will go for John Marquis ( Millwall connection with Harris and now Malone) although he has got a year left, but played 36 games last season, so Rovers may not let him go?" It hardly sounds like the OP's ITK!! |

Quite entertaining for a pre season friendly. Couldn't really fault anyone they all put in a good shift and it looks like JB knows who is starting as he seems to have a settled starting line up.
With a couple more additions this could be a very exciting season and can see us challenging for the playoffs.

Great performance all over the field tonight, no one had a bad game including all the youngsters who came on.
A good turn out of gasheads at the .com stadium, a deserved win, by far the better team all game and all the Swansea chances were gifted to them by stray passes at the back.
Having said that, it’s obviously the way Joey want us to play and our pace in transition was very impressive. We played Swansea at their own game , but we created far more chances than them which is very encouraging.
As regards the new keeper, thought he was a revelation, good distribution with both feet and his double save was superb. He comes with a great pedigree and he certainly showed it tonight.
Special mention to all our youngsters who all put a shift in.
