100% agree. Who at the club has sanctioned this?? No manager in the league is doing this and I see no benefit to our club for JB to be doing it for us. Absolutely. Not sure there is any benefit for BRFC, certainly not the fans. Just checked the website which is usually my first point of contact for news (it shouldn’t be but it is!) and there was nothing on it about these signings 5 minutes ago. Perhaps they’re preparing it as I type. Or perhaps not. Why hasn’t someone, Wael or TG, realised that JBs subscription account shouldn’t be the means of communication about BRFC. Fine to be the place for JB news. JB perhaps taking the p*** out of the club and the fans here. UTG! Clearly there are few if any parameters set for whatever Joey does. I imagine Gorringe is pretty insignificant to Barton, so doubt there would be much push back there and if it was, Joey would probably go to Wael, who would probably say yes sir |

Yeah the original rumour of Cox came straight from the Brentford forum and then more officially from Pete O'Rourke/Football Insider on twitter (X) I think. The defender has been mentioned by Bristol Live but not named yet. |

Thank you Bridgwater for the info, good for someone to put a positive spin on something our manager does, i quite like the fact that the football manager has all the gen on players we are signing, i know at some clubs the team manager has little or no say on comings and goings, good we have a manager and owner working in tandem, still think JB would be best advised to come off this twitter thing though, folk just seem to find fault with every thing he puts on there and as you say it gets a bit tedious, i find the news of the 4 signings quite exciting really, it don't take much these days! Topper seems to be in the know so look forward to more exciting news in the next couple days! |

The only time i seemed to read any of his tweets is after it had been picked up by a newspaper or commentator or on a forum like this and i then look for it. I dont know for sure but i bet Bristol Live highlighted his tweet within a few minutes of it being posted and in a way the fans are getting this information earlier than if it was just included in a press conferences - of which there don't seem very many at the moment. |
