We only have one game until the transfer window closes, so it's not like rumors are going to effect us for long. It would be better, if the transfer window closed, before the season started! Then clubs would know where they stand. Whilst I agree with your point, for me, its more about the fans thinking we will be spending 700-900K on a CF. It just isn't going to happen. It causes unrealistic expectations, in fact it made me feel like we overestimated Cambridge game on Saturday because JCH was signing and our squad was 'too good'. Squash the rumour & wait for inevitable loan signing (& everyone moaning) on deadline day! Then our CEO should nip it in the bud when asked a direct question about signing JCH. |

I know it's only Twitter talk, but Charlton fans seem to think they are signing JCH Read they re in for Nombe too. Seems like they are favourites for Sam Cosgrove. Maybe rules them out, if they were even in haha |

Listening to TG in that interview I think it's likely we are speaking to JCH and his representatives. Whether or not it will come off is unlikely.
We were close to getting Alfie May and by the looks of it just lost out due to location.
We'll see I guess by the end of next week

I’m sure Joey said something about being able to get the most out of JCH. And I think JCH respects JB and knows he can get the best out of him too. Some attitude problems to get over for sure (from what I’ve heard from Cov coaches up here) but I think it could work.

Football is kinda hilarious at times...
When we signed him a few were underwhelmed and worried that he wouldn't deliver the goals required for safety. Honestly he hadn't been prolific too often before and maybe the shouts were fair.
4.5 years and 90 goals later and some people still arent sure... c'mon lads his attitude was fine here, he bagged goals and he'd be a crazy coup.
It'll never happen though.
