Andy Mangan was quoted on Football League World yesterday. Kurturan decision imminent Rovers have also had Teo Kurturan training with the first team squad in recent weeks. Coach Andy Mangan has confirmed that a deal for the player is imminent, with Kurturan set to join the club for the season ahead. He also revealed that youngster Jerry Lawrence is set to go out on loan. “I think a decision is imminent,” said Magan, via Bristol Live. “He's been really, really good. "I don't think he's too far away. "He's someone that we'd love to sign and another one who's really young. “He's in the development stage of his career.

I have a gut feeling he won’t be signing.

I have a gut feeling he won’t be signing. You could be right, but he fits in with our system of signing new players. Get them in for a loan or trial, and then sign them up when we've had a good look at them.

Perhaps the new owners have asked why we're sending Lawrence to a non league club whilst signing Teo from another non league club, given that Lawrence was on the bench on Wednesday? Sending Ward out on loan whilst bringing in Hart is equally as baffling.

I don't see the Ward decision as baffling at all, they want him to play a full season at a decent level rather than sit on our bench and play the odd pizza cup game. Having Hall as 3rd choice means if Cox goes off with England we don't have to recall Ward. As for Kurtaran I would imagine they see him as further along in his development than Lawrence

I would doubt new owners in a club ask such questions. Why would you doubt that? logical for new owners to ask management to justify any additional expenditure above budget but from a football perspective owners tend to delegate.

Wael delegating everything has got us into the mess with the south stand, perhaps the new owners want a more hands on approach. Perhaps it's just a coincidence Teo hasn't signed and DB's been dismissed recently, or perhaps not.

Just started watching One Newcastle United on Amazon, Amanda Stavely likes to be directly involved in transfers. Whether that's for the cameras or not who knows.

Thanks for the information. Teo looked very promising in pre-season, but it just shows how sliding doors moments can happen in football. Best of luck to the lad.

Almost unlucky that he has appeared this year rather than the next couple of years. Hopefully, if we are able to upgrade the quarters etc. we might have a u23/development squad back and you'd think he would have been the type of player for this. Good luck to him wherever he ends up, maybe see him again in the future at some point.
