Would be good to see DC again at the Mem, but would be poor from the club imo to have him there when Joey isn't allowed to be pitch side or even in the building if it is a stadium ban...it is like inviting your ex over whilst your partner is out. It does feel a little like that. Maybe JB and DC don't get on so this is the only chance to do it... ;-)

DC was 4 managers ago, no problem having him attend as a match day guest in with the suits. Sure he’ll be there as a fan just like the rest of us.

There would be no "drama" if he hadn't been invited back when JB is missing, it's not like the club only found out this week JB was banned tomorrow.

Has he even been invited? Mike is hardly known for his accuracy

If DC is a guest then I just hope he will be clapped and respected. After what he did for BRFC then I hope this comes to fruition.
Jeez' I still miss the b*stard but I'll just dust myself down and get on with it' the Darrel Clarke Way!

Love DC, I think he's been a bit unlucky really to find himself without a job considering his managerial record.
Some say never go back... I would go back for DC if the stars aligned

I would go back for DC if the stars aligned I think it’s more of he will pick the next job that suits him rather than any job that comes along. He’s had a tough couple of years losing his daughter, getting promoted and then oddly, getting well and truly shafted by PV. His CV speaks for itself. As a person he’s a top bloke.

There is no doubt DC will get a tremendous reception, well deserved, BUT IMHO there is no chance he will be coming back as manager. He enjoys legendary status amongst Rovers fans rightly so, and though he was a little bit responsible for our drop into the National he was 100% responsible for the halcyon seasons that followed! His last few months with us though were very sad , he seemed at a loss as to what to do next and on reflection i wish he had taken a break, recharged, and come back, but i don't suppose that's possible in the football world. He remains unproven at upper league 1 level ( as is the case with JB) and it may be the case that he is/will be happiest getting teams out of 2 or the National. What ever i wish him well on and off the field.

Can't see this being a problem.
When Harold, or Archie come on the pitch and get the bigger cheer of the day and the fans sing their name, does that cause a problem for the current squad?
It is good to recognise the greats in the clubs history, whether it was decades ago or more recently.
