Good solid performance all round and a well earned point should have been 3pts but still early days of season
Once the players get up to match fitness and speed still a little rusty in places, the Gas are going to be a very difficult side to play against and beat it all looks very promising.
On a another note Wigan making light work of reducing the eight point deduction they had and they could be out the bottom four by Tuesday

Aaron Collins - I’d snap the hands off of a £2.5mn offer right now. Been far too greedy this calendar year. Nobody is offering anywhere near that much for Collins. Would be lucky to get 1m for him right now. |

I'm no sure about Gordon. Hope Grant can stay fit. Gordon is a neat and tidy player, but he wont fly down the wing like Cadden and I cant remember many tackles he has put in. Based on Grant before his injury (yes i know, which one!) id prefer him there, but I can also see potential in Gordon like I did with Bola. Gordon’s very neat and tidy, but given we’ve got to nurse Grant back, we’ve currently got Friend and Gibbons out injured, plus Hoole has started the season with 2 performances that have cost us goals with poor defending …. It makes me wonder if we’ll get anyone in as cover. |

How did we not win, really good performance against a good side, just poor finishing.
Thought Evans, Crama and Thomas were very good.

Was hoping for a Brown goalfest ,bubble well and truly burst....UTG From what I saw today Brown would have had a field day! If they are one of the best sides in the League we made them look pretty ordinary, what does that make us? Very very encouraging signs Up The Fecking Gas! |

Enjoyed that, a really good football match. Crama superb. Should have won with 3 or 4 great chances missed. Maybe a bit lucky when awarded a goal kick leading up to our goal when JM flicked it on, but keeper, then Collins and Thomas worked superbly to supply Sinclair for a class finish. Could be an exciting season ahead

Exactly ,given Brown is a proven goal scorer ,you feel good things ahead ,it's just that he's injured (not heard the latest ) , not 100% convinced Barnsley are top 6 material. |

Well out of the 3 games so far. We looked very good in 2 of them, especially today and the cup game we looked very poor. However Ipswich do appear to be going in the right direction. I can see us being in the mix this year. Playoffs anyone?

That was the first time I’ve seen him and I thought he was fantastic , he has a very relaxed stride to him , almost looks like he’s not paying attention and going to miss something or give it away but his ability to read the game and sniff out danger , his heading and his passing were next level. Evans and Thomas were superb today but Cramer was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch |

Evans and Crama.

Thomas ,Ward,Taylor ,Cox
Marquis ?
On one hand brilliant but brilliant whilst missing guilt edge chances as a striker isnt good enough.
Finley, love the player but currently is a weak link in the side. We need serious competition in this spot.
Hoole grew into the game but currently also needs some serious competition as was a liability at time defending.
Gordon...see Hoole comment.
Collins...is being over coached. Go back to natural instincts and stop over thinking.
A shadow of former self and we know he can be brilliant.
Sinclair...cool finish thankfully and what a player to have coming from the bench.
Other subs didnt do enough to get comments.
Grant didnt improve on Gordon just offered fresh legs.

Started slowly but bar the first 15 mins I thought we were excellent, on another day we win the game 3 or 4.
I like the way we're trying to play it will be a bit dicy at times but the management obviously trust the players to play that way.
First time I've seen Crama first impressions we've got a very good player, strong quicker than he looks and very comfortable on the ball. Obviously only the 1 game but with Taylor who also had a good game & Wilson to come back we look a lot stronger than last year.
Hard to pick a mom out of Crama, Evans & Thomas either would have been deserved personally I'd probably have gone for Evans.
Frustrated with the result but not the performance, especially with Collins & to a lesser extent Finley not at their best. Loads of positives to take into the next game
