Tbone, sorry mate, but you really haven't got a clue. Oh yes I do.

The game sort of passed by. We didn't deserve to lose but didn't do enough to win either. Referee was absolutely shocking. McChrystal and Parkes were immense along with Mansell. Gosling and Clarke not good enough. Easter shown glimpses but didn't get the service.
Frustrating afternoon.

i watched the game today,,i think dc was right to start the new boys on the bench as weve had a good run and he needs to look after team spirit,,,, very poor game of football with both teams passing and movement rubbish,,,parkes and mcchrystal were very strong otherwise some ordinary performances at best. its still a good point imo and as usual the team worked very hard today.

Glad we got an expensive striker and a flashy winger when anyone can see it's the centre of the bl00dy field where we need someone WHO CAN MAKE A F**KING PASS!!!! This this this this and all season this. Been saying it since day 1. The strikers are not the problem. ah,so you're the broken record

Cars?. We are talking useless and clueless football managers. Not sodding bangers. Although maybe Clarke would be good at stock car racing. It's called an analogy. It's a useful method of explaining something in simple terms when a person appears to be having difficultly in understanding a basic premise. huh huh, he said anal

I suppose we're going to go back to eating away at ourselves over this for as long as it takes to get it out of the system, which may or may not be when we get back into the FL. Let's hope success makes it all irrelevant asap. For myself, I think of the steady decline since Trollope left and the fact that we had so many managers in such a short space of time and spent such a lot of time floundering around at the wrong end of the 92. When it happened, it was a bit out of the blue on that last day, but we had flirted with it too long to blame the poor sap who'd been given the job right at the finish. It was like playing pass the parcel with a bomb. My most painful scar is Buckle. I tend to blame him more than anyone else. Not only because he was crap, but his smug refusal to avoid responsibility got to me. Ridiculously, I now look out keenly for Cheltenham's results and give a little victory fist clench when they lose. I really want them to go down. Nothing against the club, just to "prove" that he's no good. I guess we all have to have a doll to stick pins in over relegation from the League (capital L) and for some it's Darrell Clarke. Personally, I like him a lot. Unlike Buckle, he seems utterly genuine and totally committed to Bristol Rovers. He has no time for those who won't give everything they've got and he is determined to put right what happened on his watch. I hope to god he stays next year, whatever happens, or we might still be picking managers off the conveyor belt of passing losers and hopefuls forever more. sadly, we brought it on ourselves. Buckle joined 2 days after they lost the play-off. Did we honestly not contact him before the final? did we listen to Gulls fans who told us all about his personality? who was it who said 'You get the society you deserve'?

We brought it all on ourselves. No doubt about that.
