Ok it got a bit better. Charlton looking the better team but by no way deserve to be leading, no one does really.
I'd bring back Finley and go back to our starting 11 from Barnsley tbh.

Barton made an error moving Evans, Sinclair should have stayed on the bench to keep the same team,
Still did ok in patches but JM and AC struggling with confidence after Saturday.

Thomas has annoyed me. MOM on Saturday and messing up so many opportunities in the first half.

Well that wasn't pretty! Cox Crama and Taylor all did well but the rest not so much The positive is previous squads would have conceded a couple under that pressure, these lads looked composed and in control. Let’s hope for a better second half, I think we will see a few changes 👍🏾 |

We need to get Evans further forward and look to play our football in their half , they look there for the taking but I can see us going a goal down by getting caught playing our football in our own area.
0-0 half time is decent but our display hasn’t been , Evans further forward would give us an attacking threat through the middle and a playmaker in that that we lack.

And we complain about our finishing , May could've shown us a new one there. Only positive is it's still 0-0. Good link play between Collins and LT early on but let down by Collins. Come on gas lets win this second half!!

Too many passes back to goalkeeper Cox and not enough urgency from the team. Arron Collins still looks out of sorts!

Most of us know Evans is much poorer the deeper he plays. Not sure why Barton can't see that after all this time I think the problem is there's no one else with the ability or form to play the position Particularly as Finley probably can't play two games in a week, although midfield isn't the issue it's Marquis, Collins and Sinclair being unable to keep possession which is the issue, Sinclair never seems to have a good game when he starts on the left. I can't understand Marquis' booking as why would he take a dive when running towards goal? |

Evans is wasted in this role, everyone can see it. Finley was off form Saturday but surely a better option to have him in the team with Evans in behind Marquis?
Collins decision making seems bizarre at the minute!

We are playing a top, top team away from home. There will be times when home teams are on top. Previous teams would be three nil down here and given up the fight. This team work so had for the shirt. I’m expecting even better in second half. Let’s see. |

Solid at the back and we look ok until we get to the half way line,then we can't pass the ball or keep it.
Midfield not getting forward enough to support the forwards.

Charlton have had 12 crossing attempts to our 3 apparently. Other than that stats wise there's not much in it.
If we can just sort the passing out from midfield and not give the ball away so much and just tighten up on our right side we can cause them a lot more problems.
Sinclair off for Vale?

The fact that there's complaints about drawing 0-0 at Charlton shows how far we've come and we now expect.
Portsmouth and Charlton away and Barnsley at home is one of, if not the toughest opening 3 games we could of wished for.
We're doing alright.
