To be fair he didnt get a proper pre season but still funny to see him struggling to move These are supposed to be professional athletes. The wages they are paid, there's absolutely zero excuses to not keep your fitness up through the preseason and return match fit. There's a difference between being match sharp, and being match fit. Every year (not just Rovers obviously) players come back "unfit from preseason". It's mental. People who are into fitness and athletics rarely take more than a week between runs and the gym, and even on holiday anybody with a) a shred of respect for their profession and b) a shred of taking care of themselves fitness wise will have a run or hit the gym once or twice. Honestly, no excuses. Also, glad to see the snake on the floor where he belongs, in the weeds.

I'm almost over the Matty Taylor hate. Tbh its almost reached pity. He's had a reasonable career as a lower league striker and if he hadn't ended up at FGR (who are just annoying) I'd be keen for him to get a promotion.
He snaked his way out of a club he should've been a legend at. DC returned on Saturday to a beautiful reception. Taylor should've reached a similar position. For his sake I hope his career can find more meaning. "Just a job" Matty Taylor.

At the end of the day, you just have to think about what you’ll be remembered for, and he will barely be remembered in footballing terms anywhere. He will be remembered throughout football as a turncoat, that will be his legacy.
You make your bed, and then you lie in it. Sleep well, Matty.

If he could go back and change his decision to drop us in it I wonder if he would or he would still go and warm their bench and just keep falling lower and lower down the leagues, he was at his prime when he left us and I think he wod have gone somewhere decent He probably looks at his bank balance and doesn't have any regrets. He's always been a slimy pr*ck anyway, the way he went about the apparent move to Oxford and how he celebrated scoring against them before the move to that lot, tells you all you need to know about him. Well said. I remember him being interviewed after the 2-1 against D&R. He was asked if he would be with us the next year. He squirmed and gave some BS. Has no morals or backbone.

I'm sure he'll look back and think he's had a nice little career. Never had to move far from home, played.for his home town club, played in the Championship, faced some top PL sides in the League Cup, financially secure and generally injury free. I Don't think he'll lose any sleep over what Rovers fans think of him.
He is a snake though.
