Disley was superb for us. But would he be now? That was at a higher level, where better players play, but I didn't notice him much in the Grimsby game yesterday. (Admittedly I was only half watching it.)

Disley may be a bit past it now, but Grimsby have had him for a while. There must be a similar type player out there for us?
I like Sinclairs attitude and ethic and Mansell can keep shape and protect the back 4 but neither offer enough going forward. Would not be an issue if our wingers were any good. But they aren't.
Monkhouse isn't really an out and out winger. Gosling doesn't do it for me. Balanta? Who he?? Sinclair wide doesn't work. Martin poor (and gone) Dawson.....??
Is Harrison with sticking out wide? I would, but don't think DC will.
So unless we get some real wingers in we need the 2 CMs to create more to compensate for our wide 2. And they don't. Taylor needs more chances than we (he) would like to score so we have to create more. If Easter can get a better chances to goals tally than Taylor has and still match his work rate then we can make do with 3 DCMs.
I don't have all the answers. I hope DC does because I feel we are so close but still missing something. Maybe it is as simple as replace Taylor? Maybe its as simple as getting an ACM? Or another winger? Who knows.

We've drawn one game after an unforced layoff, what would the forum be like after losing twice away from home whilst conceding 7 goals?

A point closer to the top and another game to play and win the next one. We are chipping away at the lead. Maybe the next game will see dawson and Easter and provide some extra edge

Agree with all of that as usual Steve, I'd like to get Dawson in the team and Gosling on the left for once, that should offer us some real width, and if Gosling doesn't perform out there then loan another left footed winger, then I'd have Monkhouse battle Mansell for a place in the middle, I think he could be that creative man in the middle plus his height is envaluble so I wouldn't like to drop him out, wish we still have LDV, with him on the left and Monky in the middle, then if Dawson is as good as he looks in the vids that could have been quite a dangerous midfield!

Don't know what team some of these lot are following to be honest but I'm loving being a competitive conference side a lot more than a w**k league two side.

I assumed this was more of a wry chuckle at what Barnet fans might be going through.

I'm hoping to god that Dawson is the real deal winger. He may not be good enough for Leicester City, but that leaves plenty of scope for torturing Conference defences. He's got to be good, hasn't he? Why else would the great and the good have wasted time and money on him? Get him out there, I say. Let slip the hounds of war.

Maybe, but Chode needs to get his head up more. Flange was wide open and a good chance was missed on Saturday.
