Looking on the bright side hopefully we have a good chance of getting JCH in come January, if we continue to look like we have no ideal in the opposition box when the chances come in we will need his goals to stave off relegation!
Being slightly more serious, I don't believe anyone with a sensible disposition could possibly argue that the club appears to be going in the right direction, there are plenty on here and every other football forum who are the perfect article, faultless or have an axe to grind, these type are always heard the loudest, also I appreciate that we can all feel a sense of disappointment that might at times get the better of us when we partake on here when plans don't quite go right.
Yes I am disappointed we didn't get over the line with JCH or another capable of scoring 20 plus goals per season, easier said than done but I believe any team that has aspirations require that type player, but hey ho it didn't happen so we need to knuckle down until such time it does!

Genuinely think we will get absolutely nowhere with our team of midifielders and tiny strikers. It’s not just not having a spear, it’s missing crucial players. Might as well have not bothered with half of those players we signed.
You HAVE to score goals to win matches and all we will be getting is blocked shots. All season.
Waste of time, as per usual.

I would go all in now to secure Lyle Taylor on a free. Had good goalscoring stats as this level. 6ft 2 and a Massive upgrade on loft. Haven’t heard his name mentioned for a while. I take it he’s a free agent ? Yes I believe so. Has been without club since his stint at Birmingham last season. |

Flat atmosphere at the mem crowd is so quiet in general. A team that will pass and pass but goals are and we all no will be a big big issue. January can't come quick enough

Before last night’s debacle everyone was saying what a good set of signings, Championship here we come etc etc, now it’s all doom and gloom because JCH hasn’t happened. The squad is good enough to be around the top 10 come January and the owners have shown their intent so no reason to be despondent, if nothing happens in January then be pessimistic. Last night may have saved us a chunk of money ready for a January spending spree and we do what we did the last 2 promotions, have a late run and the momentum carries us over the dotted line. Come on, UTG, get behind the team, onward and upward 👍 Agree here ,IF we can be in with a sniff of the play offs in Jan ,I mean no more than six points out , we can certainly bolster the front line ,even add a few more if JB gauges
that half of the season , and not all is lost . The odds on JCH getting the goals to see us up were very high , but we need to move on......UTG

This is the silver lining for me. We were clearly prepared to spend 800k and a decent wage on JCH. We (allegedly) matched Charlton’s offer for Alfie May. We will spend what we need to in January if there’s a chance of play offs. Let’s just not leave it until the last minute! |
