But it will never move on without acceptance of history and a focus on an outcome that demands compromise.

Trying to wipe each other out with disgusting acts of terror is not the way. Killing unarmed civilians (whatever the detail) is such a disgusting act. Mass bombing of civilian areas and killing unarmed civilians is such a disgusting act.

My personal view is that I find our own lack of acceptance of our historical role in all this hypocritical and nauseating.
Of course most of the opinions are predicated upon ignorance. It's not as though we teach "actual" history in our schools is it.

But even then, allowing for that, surely basic humanity tells us that after one disgusting act of horror the recourse to commit another is not the way?
Equally, as we sit in our comfortable homes in the West watching this unravel on our TVs, cheering on acts of violent revenge (on women and children) doesn't that make you uncomfortable? Political leaders lining up to supply "whatever they need" in weapons to commit this revenge in a sort of surreal "me to" competition for TV time doesn't promote nausea?

It's unbelievable in its absolute horror.

Pirate, personal plea. You made your point on propaganda, we don't need any further endless links to Twitter feeds. It dilutes the point you are making if you do. Just my opinion.

Ilan Pappé is an Israeli historian, political scientist and a professor with the College of Social Sciences and International Studies at the University of Exeter, director of the university's European Centre for Palestine Studies, and co-director of the Exeter Centre for Ethno-Political Studies. Pappé says what is happening to the Palestinians is "incremental genocide." His book 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine' is worth a read.

Have they built in or under all of them? Are the 447 Palestinian children killed in Gaza in 5 days the "human animals" the Israeli Defense Minister spoke of? Just say "Hamas" and everything and anyone is a legitimate target.

I see there are clashes in Paris and some Jewish schools in the UK are closing in fear of attack.

Sunak is sending ships and planes to the area, mostly window dressing but some of it could be useful.

The whole thing is sickening and all for what.

There are no rights here, only wrongs and there are no winners. There are atrocities on both sides and what we might yet witness still is unspeakable. Meanwhile some people over here are getting their knickers in a knot over the FA not lighting up a bit of metal on Friday night
