No guarantees with any manager but giving it to AM is just a bit too experimental for my liking. I know some will want to give him a chance, maybe to the end of the season, but I still think the current squad has a good chance of promotion and we need someone with a bit of experience to give us the best chance. There’s no way I’m writing off the season yet, If AM and GW get the job then I’ll support them every week. The reaction to Northampton getting back into the recent game worried me a bit - we were just holding on when it could have been managed better imo. So Andy Mangan, a Coach that's looked after the Team for 3 years is too experimental, but bringing in an unknown isn't? A coach doesn’t always make a good manager -there will be examples where it has but I think we’ve got too much to play for this season to warrant a big gamble on someone with zero management experience. A manager is a different role with different pressures and different responsibilities to a coach. If you think giving a managers job to a coach who has never managed before is no less experimental than bringing someone in who has had a number of previous jobs as a professional football manager that’s fine.

Vale is best as an impact sub in my opinion.

If the board had given Kevin Maher the job when GC left we might well have not been relegated the following season. The problem for the Board is any new manager will have to deal with all of JB's players and coaching staff, perhaps giving AM the job until the summer before reassessing the position. It seems the board must be hoping AM keeps winning games as surely it can't take this long to decide on who's the best external candidate?

AM is a bigger risk for me than bringing someone more experienced in from outside. We’ve invested heavily in building this current squad which is very talented and should be pushing for promotion - I think the owners will still be expecting us to challenge for promotion and someone completely new to management is less likely to be able to achieve that than someone who has ‘been there, done that’ (imo of course).

Reading FC are losing plenty of games of late.
Frequently it is by the odd goal.
Hidden stat:
In their last 6 Home League games
Played * 6 Win * 3 Draw * 1 Loss * 2 Scored * 8 Conceded * 6 Points * 10
Away form is abysmal. But tonight's match is on their own turf.

The Gas are in good voice, let's hope the team deliver and why not, it's a strong line-up.

Always get nervous when everyone thinks we're going to win. Reading 2-1 Gas (Martin)

Who’s the co-commentator on RB? No Keith Brookman?
